I know a United fan who still thinks that we'd be better off with someone tactically aware like Benitez, he also reckons that Ferguson made a major cock-up in not signing Gerrard yet.

Back to the topic - the best in the world.

Did you never have any doubts about Fergie?
I know I did. I can definitely recall standing in the dinner queue at school and we all wanted him gone.
But what do 16 year old kids know, eh?

i know i speak for most of us Asian fans. Since we have started getting live football from across the world, there has been:

- Only one manager at OT
- NO single manager to have won more than he has
- Only one manager who has built so many winning teams one after the other
- Only one manager who has risen like phoenix after every period of criticism, trophyless seasons, maybe even self doubt

For me, United is Sir Alex. The "sutradhar" (as we call the one who all pulls strings) the divine puppeteer of all things United.

I mean in terms of trophies in English football. Of course I think he's the greatest manager that's ever been on this Earth In terms of British football overall, is he the most successful in the history? If he is then.......

I actually reckon that if Queiroz does end up leaving, Fergie might stay around for longer than those 'two or three years'. I think a large part in saying that was because he truly believes Queiroz is his heir, so wanted to encourage him to stick around. But if he leaves, Fergie will have to take a more hands-on approach with the team at least until the new #2 is settled, and I can see that keeping him going.
