First game there for our lads.
Antwerp are playing at home vs Heusden Zolder this evening.
Antwerp are 18th and last in Belgium's highest division, Heusden Zolder 14th.
Game started at 19hGMT, with Eddy Johnson in the starting line-up. Phil Bardsley is on the bench. Antwerp are losing 0-1 already and have not been near Heusden Zolder's goalie.

Thanks Tine .

Is Johnson playing poorly or just not getting the service?

Second half has not started yet.
A whole stand had to be evacuated (reason unknown) and some idiots refuse to move elsewhere.
2 substitutions for Antwerp at HT. Phil Bardsley coming on is one of the substitutions. Johnson will still be playing, not been substituted.

they have had a few managers already this season ... they're on their 3 this season I think ... but don't shoot me if it's one more or less

they brought in a handful of players during the transfer window

Over the years, how have our youngsters contributed to Antwerps fortunes?

I cant help but have the guilty feeling that our youngsters naivity and poor performances have contributed to Antwerps downfall, as it were.

hard to tell, i'm not watching the game, just listening to the radio and following some match tracker
fact is they're hardly coming near the other team's goalie, so can't blame him personally for that
apparently he had one "chance" when the ball sticked in the mud, but he cracked his shot
think it would be very harsh to judge him already

no, they definitely have (had) nothing to do with Antwerp's downfall
on the other hand, none of them have been deciding in a good way for Antwerp either
think out of all of them, Chadwick, Wallwork, Higginbotham were the only ones making some kinda name for themselves there

again, hard to judge all these lads really, you do expect them to make some kinda impression, they are United players after all, but on the other hand you can't expect them to solve Antwerp's problems on themselves either, they're not experienced yet etc.

Wallwork & Higginbotham didnt make a good name as in they nearly got suspended for ages for trouble with a ref after a game

but as far as I can remember they played a lot, which can't be said for some others that went there

you could be right about Chadwick, but I'm not sure

I'm not an Antwerp supporter btw

Some Antwerp player made a great run, went for the shot, keeper saved, Johnson tapped it in.

There you go

I'm not sure whether he's in Belgium yet. I do think that everything's been sorted between United & the lad the other week, sure I read that. Also think he is supposed to be playing at Antwerp this season already, but not 100 % sure about that.

short reaction from Johnson in Sunday's sports program on telly

no problems with the (bad) weather (conditions) seeing as it's the same kinda weather as in England
experience of the fans 'n all is sth quite different, but that's what he came here for and he's enjoying it so far (I bet he is what with starting at once and scoring on his debut)

Club Bruges vs Antwerp this afternoon.
Score is 2-0 for Club Bruges atm, with about 15-20 minutes to go.

Bad news re. the United lads.
Johnson went off injured just before HT.
Bardsley was sent off just after HT after 2 yellow cards.

Johnson is out for a month.
Bardsley didn't even make the foul for which he got his second yellow card, it was a teammate who made the foul.

Johson said he already felt something wasn't right during the warm-up.
Bardslay said you'd never get a ref like that in England.

Funnily enough, in another game here last nite, some player got sent off with a straight red card, and he wasn't the one committing the foul either!
