I dont see this comparison at all. Maybe this one should be revisited when we have seen Berb play for us. Even once or, dare I say it, for an extended period before we start comparing him to one of the best players we ever had.

Can we please refrain from constant 24/7 fait accompli comparisons between Cantona and a player who hasn't even suited up for us yet?

Good point I have no doubt he will be a success but how can you compare a legend against someone who has yet to kick a ball for us in a meaningfull match. |

![]() that's good but I think many will feel God's name (song) shouldn't be taken in vain - perhaps if he's looking worthy, it'd be good |

Everything went through Cantona(in the final third). I actually think Ibra and Berbatov have more skill, but not his presence. |

months later I still agree with myself lol. yay
I still think he'll come into his own in Europe, especially away from home. I think there are similarities but berbatov will stand out in his own right. He's improving, not 100% yet but he'll give us a new dimension to our play and evidently help us fashion chances out of nothing |

Well that's the thing isn't it, opinion. In europe away from home i'd have berbatov and rooney or tevez or maybe even all three. Berbatov would be the ideal man to put the midfield forward I think but we're lucky in that we're talking about good players here |

For me, Berbatov will have to do a lot more over many years to be mentioned in the same breath at Cantona. |
