Big screens in City Centre? Where to watch match in Manchester?

I know there is a thread on this somewhere but dont think the lad ever got his answers.

Just wondering where those of us will be watching the final.
Heard a few places are ticketed and a few places wont be.
Just trying to get a few ideas together as Im in Liverpool at the moment due to Uni and certainly wont want to be watching it anywhere round here.

Thanks

I'm looking to travel up to Manchester to watch the final too, so I'd also like to hear where everyone is watching it.

I think MUST are looking at putting up another big screen at Platts.

Other than that I imagine it will be on on that big screen in Shambles Square.

Yeah the Blaize will be good. Though many regulars will be in Moscow of course.

As I've said, there'll be something on in Shambles Square. Possibly St Annes Square and Piccadilly Gardens too. And the Trafford Centre if you want a really odd experience

The MUST do is a private function so U-18s are welcome.

ye i know, but i missed out on the first lot of tickets.
So i'll have to see about the next batch.
Will be a laugh in there, should'nt be too many twats, although most genuine match goers will be in Moscow.

I'll be coming up to Manchester to watch it. Got a text the other day from Brannigans (I signed up for one of their cards one day when they told me the round would be half price if I filled in a form) offering tickets to watch it there - 5 quid to stand and 10 quid to sit. Ten quid just to get into the bloody pub!

I've managed to swing a one-day seminar at the Manchester Conference Centre on 21st May and am staying overnight at the Holiday Inn Express on Salford Quays.

Not sure yet where to watch it (I'm not that keen on pubs packed to the rafters so may just watch it in the hotel lounge with drinks charged to company expenses), but I want to be around OT after the match. Still hoping there may be a late decision on giant screens somewhere close!

They should set up a big screen at Old Trafford. When Colorado won their first Stanley Cup they opened up their arena for free (the game was on the road) and over 12,000 people packed the place. It was a blast.

Should imagine the behaviour of the Scots has put an end to any possible thoughts of putting big screens up around the City Centre

From a newbie, can7ona_08 (sorry pal..shit user name!)

As many of you know for the uefa cup final in manchester the council has put up big screens and made fan zones for rangers and zenith. The only reason they have done this is because fans from both clubs got in contact with them complaining that they were not doing it.

There are currently no plans to put up big screens for us united fans next week! Please everyone email them at the address below complaining about it.

Lets make this happen so we can watch united lift the european cup with fellow fans in a great atmosphere!

city.council@manchester.gov.uk

image this scene below but with all united fans cheering our team on!imagine the atmosphere!

No Giant Screens in Manchester for Champions league final

Just been said on Sky News.

Some guy who works for the Manchester City council said that after everything that has happened last night it would be unfair to businesses and people living in the area.

That was expected, unbelievable. Our fans will probably get treated differently in Russia as a direct response to last nights events as well.
