Burnley fixture date changed?

Manchester United Fixture at Turf Moor Changed

It seems life in the Premier League is already getting complicated with news that our second match of the season and our first at home against Champions, Manchester United of all clubs has already changed having been put back a day to Wednesday 19th August.

The fixture had to be changed from the Tuesday night due to Manchester United's game with Birmingham now being televised by Sky and taking place on the preceding Sunday. The Rd Devils have to get their rest, bless 'em!

So it means while everyone's having their season openers on Saturday, we gotta wait one more day? Two fingers to Sky.

Predictably, nothing on the United site to confirm it.

Not everyone counts Community Shield match as a first game of the season. It's rather last game in pre-season, nobody plays on 100% and in May not many people count it as a silverware.

Plus with having never won a game at the new Wembley (apart from on pens) we may be wanting to quickly forget about it

Three televised Premiership matches in one day? No mate.

You always get one on a Saturday (lunch time K.O) and two on Sky Sports "Super Sunday."

We play early afternoon on the Sunday, Spurs v Liverpool late afternoon.
