Why? With a hugely congested fixture list this season there is no reason why we shouldnt keep 5. Dont think another season on loan would do Campbell any good.

I hope he stays, whether Berbatov signs or not. He'll be getting a fair few games for United who will be playing more than 50 games this season, and i expect our Carling Cup team to go far as well.

If Berbatov joins (or any other player) I'm fairly certain he'll leave on a seasons long loan.

Makes sense too.

If he is signed then I would see this happening as well. Im not gonna go through the benefits of Campbell having a full season of Premier League football at Hull because that has been done to death. But a loan would benefit him and us in the long run.

But maybe Fergie would want to have 5 strikers here instead of 4? We will just have to wait and see what happens.

We can always send him on loan in January, better that eh stays here with the first team squad for the first half of the season i think [either to play or simply for the experience].

If Manucho was fit and ahd had a good pre-season things might have been looked upon different, but he isn't and he didn't, if you know what i mean. lol

It'll do him a world of good getting first team football in the Premiership for Hull. I can't see how you could suggest otherwise.

Oh dear. Surely a full year of Premier League standard football (not Championship) will improve him as a striker? To become the best, you have to test yourself at the highest level. Lets face it, he will get far more games there than he would with us this season. He can return to us as a much better and more experienced striker.

Yeah, that's true. Not to mention Ronaldo being out for another month or so.

Might make sense holding onto Cambell until January. But the lad might have his heart set on regular football at Hull before then. It's a tough call but I reckon Fergie would grant him his wish.

Agree on this. We need him and he will get his chances in the league cup and with the 7 subs rule, and also good experience training with Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez every day.

Roo, Carlitos, Berbatov and Manucho is more than adequate and as such it might be best to let Fraizer play week in, week out at Hull.

Irregardless, can he stake a first-team spot at Hull? They have some strikers there who are more established and experience than him, isn't it?

what happen if Rooney and Tevez got injured then? god forbids? we are taking an unwanted risk here.

He was their best player last season. And they haven't got anyone in who is good enough to displace him.

Besides, Dean Windass won't feature much this season, now he's just turned 60.

The scenario I'm talking about above involves Berbatov being at the club. Which means we will cope just fine if Rooney or Tevez get injured.

I actually think Campbell won't get as many games as we all want him to, in the majority of games I expect King and Geovanni to play up front because they're Premier League proven and experienced. Unfortunately.

True, Campbell was their best player. But that was in the Championship.

Just checked the Hull squad of strikers. They have,

Marlon King
Richard Garcia
Caleb Folan
Dean Windass
Craig Fagan

I have only seen Marlon King play, and Dean Windass 20 years ago. But surely they will have to go with experience as they fight for every point to stay up.

we are by no means certain of signing Berbatov though if Spurs and Levy continue to play hard-balls with us.

I dunno. I watched Hull a good few times last season and it was amazing to see how much of their football went through him and how much he was obvioulsy loved by the fans and the staff. All things going to plan, he's gonna be an even better player this season too.

Geovannis is a flash in the pan. He'll get found out pronto, just like he was at City. Either that or play more of a midfield role. Cambell and King would make an excellent partnership, IMO.

That's a discussion for a different thread.

I we don't sign Berbatov, then I think we should hold onto Cambell. I thought that was obvious from my first post in this thread?

I think Geovanni's a good player but I agree that they'd make room for Campbell either by dropping Geovanni into midfield where his competition would be limited or else by dropping King. I think the first option would be the more likely.

i think Campbell is ahead of Manucho atm, so we should keep him for now, give him some games.

If we get Berbatov I doubt Campbell will play a dozen more games with united before being sold
