Campbell going out on loan to Hull City again?
Hull City To Have First Option On Manchester United Starlet Campbell
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has promised newly-promoted Hull City first option on taking 20-year-old striker Fraizer Campbell on loan again next season at the KC Stadium. Campbell spent last season on loan at the Tigers, scoring 15 goals in 34 appearances, as Hull were promoted to the Premier League for the first time. Hull manager Phil Brown had wanted to make the England Under-21 International a permanent signing, having a £4million offer for the young forward turned down by United, and will now have to settle for another loan deal. http://www.premiershiplatest.com/new...l-5511449.html |

That's if we don't decide to keep him after pre-season I take it. I'm delighted we turned down a permanent semi-high money move right off the bat. Seems I'm not the only one who thinks we may have a future star on our hands.

I hope so too. Depending on how many strikers we have by the time the season starts, his future will become clearer. Another season on loan at Hull, in the Premier League this time, can only be good for him.

Due to the fact that we can now have 7 subs and we aren't currently blessed with an abundment of strikers it might make some sense keeping Campbell at the club currently. Then we can have a period of assessment when January opens up.

I don't actually know - was responding to a comment above about him being out of contract next summer. Tried to find definite confirmation either way on the web but was unsuccessful. Gave up rather easily though.

We will have Tevez, Rooney, another new striker and probably Manucho. Apart there is Wellbeck also. We can't even guaranty Wellbeck games ffs. |

I doubt Mancuho will even be here at the start of next season. His current injury woes have all but ensured he wont be getting a work permit. For he has missed most international games. I expect a loan deal for him, probably in Spain till like mid season. So Campbell should have more than enough time to have a chance till then . Because frankly Welbeck wont be realistic competition. Only Saha will be if he stays

Apart from Rooney and Tevez, there are big question marks against our strikers. I would like to buy a third choice striker and keep either Saha or Campbell as fourth choice. It would be too risky to rely on both.

That said, I'm guessing it will be better for Campbell to spend another year playing with Hull, seeing as they'll now be in the Premiership. Doubt he'd get more than an occasional runout with United, which wouldn't do him much good. A little more seasoning though and he might just have a future at Old Trafford. |

Review: Fraizer Campbell
When United’s legendary former youth coach Eric Harrison singled out Fraizer Campbell as a star of the future last July, he probably meant at United. Instead, the 20-year-old has found himself making headlines at a rather less illustrious club. Hull City, to be precise. from manutd.com wow , didnt know harrison rated fraizer that highly .. dont think fergie will be looking to get rid of him too soon .. |

Campbell is ahead of Welbeck in the pecking order, but for that very reason it will be him that is sent out on loan. We'll want him to get a season as a starter in the premiership, which means Welbeck will probably stay on as our emergency striker. Then the idea would surely be that Campbell will come back the following season and take a true role in our team, while Welbeck gets his opportunity to go off on loan and get a regular starting spot.
I'm sure that's what we want to do, anyway. The problem is Manucho might not get his work permit, so we might have to keep Campbell at the start of the season, then likely loan him out in January when he doesn't end up getting any games (just like Evans was this season). |
