Capello Please Choose Carrick

The Lampard-Gerrard combination is not working. Carrick is the closest thing to Scholes that Capello is going to get. Drop one of those two, preferable the scouse as he has been nonexistant the last part of the season, and add Carrick for the World Cup Qualifiers.

Most English United supporters can't give 2 fucks about England (and rightly so), Gary Neville himself has said how he has often considered retiring from internationals after the England abuse, the treatment of Becks, Phil Nev, Rio, the F.A..chants of "Stand Up if you hate Man U" at England games...

There's a reason why we have the "ARG-EN-TINA" chants at our away games to wind up English supporters, and no that chant didn't start cause of Heinze, Tevez or even Veron...

There's very good reason why most of our English United supporters don't give two fucks about Ingurland!

Michael Carrick is a very good player, and being Irish, I hope they never give him the chance he deserves, because England would probably be good if that's allowed to happen.

On the other side of things, I hope he does get his chance as he deserves it, and being the personality that he is deserves it more than other players who somehow get a game. With regards to breaking up the Lampard-Gerrard thing, I would make the argument that the two of them are very good centre midfielders and should be able to play together as a result. Oh, and for the record, Gerrard>>>Lampard, however Lampard is not by any stretch of the imagination a fat waster like some would have you believe.

Untill Carrick shows some balls, and/or gets himself on a few MOTD highlights reels scoring goals, he'll be overlooked. The guy's a grat player, but he's a robot.

That is ridiculous. Manchester United is an English Football club. The majority of our supporters are English (or should be, just as the majority of Real's fans for example should be Spanish).
And how you can be English and not care about your country's team is beyond me. I want the best players to play for England, and Carrick is one of the best English midfielders.
Plus it would make Carrick happy , so it should make us happy.
We used to hold French flags when Eric played for us, and we sing Argentina Argentina for a player who deserves to hear it named Tevez.

I would also like to see Evra play for France, Anderson for Brazil etc, because only the best players play for their countries and only the best players play for United.

We usually sing argentina whenever tevez does something good, not to wind up english fans. The ronaldo makes england look shite song would have been a better example, still even that's tongue in cheek and isn't likely to wind anyone up.

I know there are some English united fans who don't give a shit about england but to say most of them don't is utter bollocks, I know that I and all my mates support England and are gutted we're not at the Euro's, and all the pubs are absolutely packed out when we're playing.

We're banned from supporting our country on this forum, didnt you know? And Carrick would rather get overlooked, and let Barry get chosen ahead of him. I mean rather than play two games for England this summer, let Carrick stay at home and do fuck all.

I absolutely agree. If the players dream of playing for their country, we should have their backs. And if they wish to retire from international play, we should also have their backs on it.

He would be very good for England. There is no logical reason why Capello should overlook him now. That is all.

Carrick is the best choice for the team
but selfishly i hope he never gets picked
the less players we have doing international duty the better

united>england

why would you want him to be picked for england? the less players we have involved with that shower the better. less exposure to injuries and burnout and such.

Let him pick Lamptard-gerrard, ive gone past caring about England, I think its hilarious watching the so called golden boys like Gerrard go missing while John Terry acts like a prat of a captain. Id prefer a fit and available carrick.

United > England.

Most. Not all. Nothing wrong with backing your country, although I personally don't mind seeing our players get a week off during the international breaks.

United > England but United dont play in International tournaments and England do, so Ill support them in that context.

As for Carrick - of course it is nice for United if the players arent picking up injuries playing in games that dont affect our season but ultimately the players care about playing for their country, and I would be happy for Carrick to get the recognition he deserves - just as I would for all our players. It is ridiculous that one of the most instrumental players in the United team is not getting a look in with England.

Agreed, united will always come first but I can't see why any English person wouldn't be behind the national team, even if most of the match going England fans and half the players are cunts.

Because he's injured.

The last few times he was injured for long periods he actually picked up those injuries while playing for France.

Judging by SAF's history with a lot of the national's FA it's clear he's not so keen for our players to be playing internationals too and would rather everyone is like Cantona or Bruce.

every time I have seen Carrick playing for England he is the one making them tick. I thought he would be the perfect player for Capellos system but he seems to favour Barry.
