I totally agree. Pundits on ITV and Sky won't rock the applecart and say what they are told for fear of never getting invited back.

Clive Tyldsley has generated some of my favourite quotes of all time. And I watch a lot of terrible television! Aside from the obvious from the last final, some of my personal favourites: 'Manchester United have a throw in, a base camp for the last, final assault on the Bayern Munich lead' + FULL SPEED AHEAD BARCELONA! ++ 'RooneyyyyyAHH! How good was that!' Just typing them gives me shivers! There are loads, whereas the only quote from Andy Gray that has a similar effect is from the '99 Liverpool FA Cup match - 'heh heh heh, I told ye, didn't I tell ye...this is Liverpool's day!'

I havent a problem with Derek Rae, Smyth is pathetic though, I think Rae could do a good job himself, would like to see ESPN get someone good alongside Rae because I feel he carries the tempo of the game fairly, even when Tommy is spouting his made up shit

SBS with Gary Bloom or David Basheer.

Can't wait for their monotonous coverage.

"Oh and er...here's Ronaldo with the winner in stopage time. errr good goal that. Screamer from 40 yards. He's, um, quite a player this Ronaldo."

I'm going to watch it on sky but have the sound muted so I can listen to Alan Green dish out the plaudits on Radio 5.

If I were watching on TV, it'd be one of the rare times I'd chose ITV.
Andy Gray is developing increasing pro-Chelsea tendancies at a worrying rate...

or should i(whome happen to be english) start telling people i am "honglais" because french people pronounce it that way?

i fucking HATE andy grey the total ABU prick!!!
his hatred for this great club is only superceeded by his irritating inability to pronounce manchester united like "manchesh u nigh'ed".
i would love it if sky dropped him, fanzone is easily the best commentry, imho.

General build-up and punditry seems better on Sky, but as far as commentary goes, I'll never be able to forget Clive Tydlesley in 99, although David Pleat's a moron so it kind of balances out.

Not sure at the moment, so what's it to be?
Neither. RTE 2.

I'll probably watch the build up on Sky Sports, it's usually much more in depth and they have more time.

But as for the match, even though everything will be of better quality on Sky Sports, the magic it'll have on ITV wins me over. So I'll most likely watch the game on ITV.

I have decided for Sky tonight. Gray, although he can have his bad moments, is the master of anylasis, and although I hate Tyler, he is the sacrifice for Gray. Rednapp and Keys are also OK.

I think the other guests are Souness and probably Wilkins, Souness is a cunt though although makes some interesting points.

ITV. Sky's got a 10 second delay. Which is too much for me.

Reasons to watch ITV

1) Sky will constantly refer to Terry as 'the ironman'
2) 'Hero Frank doing this for his mum' x 50
3) Steven Gerrard will be brought up frequently and a masturbation session will comence during the match, completely offtopic.
4) Sky has a 10 second delay. Fact
5) Why you would choose Martin Tyler over Red Clive would be unexplainable

Andy Gray vs Wigan was a total ABU ... lost all respect for him... it has to be ITV.
