Needs to buy giggs a pint today . I think he just got really tired at the end, thus lack of concentration and composure resulting in all those missed chances. However, I really like his style of play and he runs his socks off for the team.

Could have had 3. Should certainly have taken one of those chances. He is not clinical but it will come

Did really well dropping deep today, trying to fill the void left by Rooney.

Didn't help him that Hernandez didn't have the best of games, but I thought Welbeck played well. Love how he always tries to stay on his feet (or at least, did today) and doesn't go down too easily. Ashley Young, take note.

He reminds me of Saha, scores when i don't expect him too, and misses easy chances.

Not the first time this season he has completely mistimed a simple point-blank header. The coaches should get him on the same training program Rooney was on a couple summers ago.

Didn't quite come off for him today. Another day he could've easily had a pair, but I guess you can't really expect a young player to be so clinical in his first season on the big stage. It will come.

He rushed his 2 chances towards the end, should have scored. Still put in a fantastic shift upfront and played some lovely suff.

If Giggs didnt score those misses would have haunted him. Title-deciding stuff, and you cant miss chances like that at Manchester United.

How is missing 2-3 sitters a "fantastic shift" for a striker? Strikers should score goals - when he plays as a striker and misses chances like that its a shit shift.

Were pretty bad misses all three of them. He didn't connect with the ball properly on every single one. It is his most obvious weakness. Being a striker that's a poor finisher. Almost everything else is good.

His link up play and holding up the ball he done well. Sure he had 2 terrible efforts, but his team play was very good today and exaclty what we needed uptop since our final third play was wank.

Today he had a poor game, I'm sure Hernandez would have nailed that free header, but Welbeck has great ability and is still learning. Great player

Strikers have it easier. just look at the flack DDG gets for a mistake. Yet missing 3 clear chances in a game is easily forgotten.

Does absolutely great with his movement, and link up, then loses composure at vital times in front of goal. He's an exact opposite of Hernandez at this moment.

Yeah, why not focus on 30 seconds of the 90 minute "shift" he put in, and judge his performance solely on that, eh?

He was our best player today. Everyone else disappeared for the parts of the game where we were winning. That missed header at the end was near on criminal though. Especially when your forhead is three times the size of the ball.

Combine both and what would we have? I really hope his finishing can improve, which in all likelyhood it will because he'll be a complete beast of a player. His first touch too can be a bit shoddy at times i feel but his workrate and willingness make up for it.

Played well except for when it came to putting the ball in the net. He played better than Hernandez today but you'd have to think he'd have put away at least one of Danny's chances. Perhaps a bit unfair as Hernandez made a bit of a mess of his one chance.

wasted 2-3 chances finishing wise, but he played very good today on the ball with is distribution and movement. He was envolved in the game start to finish.

To me, it's clearly obvious he's going to be a star.

He will have occasional games like this (wasting chances), but let's be fair, despite a poor game he was the one striker offering something and had some great moments.

He's still my preferred partner for Rooney when he's back in the team.

Yeah, maybe I was a bit harsh. Thinking about it now I thought he played very well in the first half. He started the second really poorly but he improved as the half went on. But he is a striker after all and he should have taken at least one of those chances.

You mean like we do every time defenders make mistakes? Welbeck didnt do his job today - he had a shit game.

His link up play wasnt even good. In the first half it was decent, but in the second half it was terrible up untill Norwich scored. Our midfield held the ball well but whenever they gave it to our front two we conceded posession within seconds.

Patience people patience. He's class but he's still learning, his development in recent years has been fantastic and it's great we have options like him, Hernandez and Berbatov to choose from.

Lacked the confidence in his strikes that we've seen previously. Worked hard though and he'll recover.

I'm sorry but he wasn't. Strikers job is to score goals. That's what he is. A striker. And he failed at scoring today on multiple occasions and it almost cost us big time. Thankfully it didn't.
