Diego Forlan
Prediction:
He will score 20+ goals in all comps next year. I'll save this thread so we can revist the subject in about a year. <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" /> |

sort of like a Jaun-Pablo Angel situation?
Can't disagree there.

Nah - that sort of scenario is too far-fetched

Forlan will be a great success for Man Utd, he is still adapting to English culture. I was looking at him a couple of times in reserve team games via MUTV and he looks like a quality player, games is what he needs now, but the way the season is going it would not make sense to break up RvN and OGS at the moment. Roll on next season and judge him on pre season with the team, a summer to recharge and lets hope he takes the premiership by storm.

Forlan is more of a forward than an out-and-out striker imo. He runs up and down the field all night, working hard to set-up moves and take away the defenders, while Ruud/Ole would be on hand to finish off all the hard work. In the games I have seen him play for us, he seems to drift toward the touchline, and to good effect. He could even help Giggsy more – Forlan could come inside leaving room for Giggs to operate. I would be happy to see the Ruud/Ole partnership continue for a while. Forlan is only 22 and coming to a completely different country/culture must be hard for someone so young. What he needs now is patience from the fans and time to prove himself; soon he will bag one and go on a run.
