As someone who attended the event last year, can I say that it is well worth the money.

Although hopefully the comedian will be, ahem, a little more PC this time.

I may be interested, as it's just up the road. Only thing is, there's the issue of this stag do which I'm desperately hoping doesn't clash with the match - and if it's a choice of the match or the dinner...!

You have my sympathies. I stupidly arranged my own stag on the same day as our last FA Cup game.

Not that I missed much, as it turned out

Come on lads it's LAW... You never be bestman or get married to anyone who wants to marry during the football season..!! That said I craftily positioned our wedding between the Oldham semi / Replay and Palace final, I managed all three matches..!!

Tom great idea if I can get back home I will try and join you but got two business trips lined up to Argentina and Barcelona (trying to stall the Barca one to hopefully coincide with a United visit ) so struggling to find time..! Inshalla as we say here..!

The guy this year is an impressionist - check his website link - seems to be very good - especially on football people.

Ditto!

Norm was a little the worse for wear by the end of the evening though. And as for the look on his face when the comedian started doing jokes about immigrants...

On each table at the Dinner, there will be 2 prints of drawings of former United players drawn by a fairly well known artist. 2 lucky people on each table will go home with these drawings.

One of the prizes in the raffle will be a framed, original sketch, signed by the same artist, of Duncan Edwards.

I'd go, but I don't know anyone there. And I'm only twenty. I fear I'd stick out like a sore, fat, acne-ridden, high-pitched thumb.

I'm considering it. I really am.

Though it seems like a fairly hardcore gathering and I've not yet been to Old Trafford because I'm a shit fan.

I'd give my left nut to go to this and then see West Ham the following day
