No, but he's missed three great chances inside 13 minutes. I think that bodes well.

We've signed the other one as well:

"Pape Pate Diouf leker seg med Sandefjord-forsvaret, og får til slutt avsluttet. Fin prestasjon av den United-klare spissen. Ballen treffer en forsvarer og går til corner."

Just translated this online, and this is quite some news:

Parrot Patent Diouf playing her along with Sandefjord - advocacy , and getting at last closed. Fine achievement at it United - afford the jag. Dances am hitting a defend and goes at corner

I had a look at his misses. They weren't that bad. And at least one of them was the other Diouf.

NFF (Noggie FA) is trying to stir things up. They are worried that agent Jim Solbakken may represented more than one part in this deal, thus having had a conflict of interest. He certainly represented Molde in the negotiations with United, and allegedly acted as Mame's agent as well. However, this seems to be false accusations, Solbakken himself denies to having been Mame's agent. Source.

More interestingly, Molde is playing Start today at 15:00 (English time). It should be a very good match, and another four goals for our new Manucho. I couldn't find a stream for it, but noggies will watch it on NRK1.

I might just tune in to watch that, though Norwegian football usually bores me to tears.

The league has been won by entertaining teams the last couple of seasons. Brann were excellent, and so were Stabæk. Stabæk were very unlucky (and inefficient) against your men FCK. In fact, in relation to that match the media over here showcased the arrogance and ignorance of the Danish's view of noggieball. (But I'd be incredibly bored watching Danish and Swedish football, or even something like Sandefjord - Lillestrøm, simply because I have no interest in it.)

Molde and Start are two of the most enjoyable teams to watch this year, so I'm sure you won't get bore. And remember to keep an eye on Molde's Thioune and Start's Bolanos.

For what it's worth; I was rooting for Stabæk against FCK - no Danish team in the Champions League = bigger chance of me being able to watch United without having to go down to the pub.

He's been great in this first half - he's that white bloke named Hoseth, right?

Must be him. Diouf could have had a couple of assists if some of his team mates had been a bit more efficient.

Diouf would've had a goal if the linesman hadn't wrongly called Hoseth offside. He's been quite unselfish today, and should've had an assist or two. Hoseth has been sublime.

How did Hoseth do in Denmark, Top?

Only kidding sir. How does he look then? Be good to have a striker who's more than competent with his head again.

He's played rather well today. Needs to improve on he's decision making though.

He did well today, one goal is decent considering that he was a left sided attacker and not a striker. He's got a bunch of great attributes. He's a great athlete, quick and strong, and he applies his physicality very well defensively as well as in attack. He works hard for the team and wins the ball quite a lot for an attacker, but (unlike headlesschickentevez) his defensive work doesn't take away from his attacking threat.

He's skillful, good close control and dribbling, and surprisingly intelligent. His movement is good and vision is quite good, and he often chooses a simple pass, or a more telling one, rather than trying to do things by himself.

The one thing that lets him down is when he gets into good positions, his finishing isn't great, and he often gets a bit nervous and makes a wrong or weird decision to pass or dribble.

Sounds promising. Hopefully he will continue to score goals and develop the finishing side of his game before he joins us. He is a talented striker and we will hope to make something special out of him.

Heh, that had to come. Surprising because it's not his most immediately striking characteristic, and that his decision making is sometimes a bit off. But he's got a good eye for his and others' space.
