FAO of the fans who gave abuse to Beckham.

You are jealous, inbred fucktarded spastics who should have been put down at birth.

That is all.

I thought it was ironic booing, from the same lot who sang there's only one David Beckham?

Im assuming you didn't hear the reception 5 seconds before it. It was an ironic pisstake.

He was really emotional in the interview, bless him. Seemed almost overcome when he came on. Was obviously genuinely touched by the reaction of our fans.

Fair dos to the OT crowd. Gave him the reception he deserved. I even felt a wee bit emotional myself

Aye, genuinely delighted for him getting that reception, our fans are class.

Certainly made easier by the way the match went though, could have been a different story if we were losing.

Closest I've ever come to crying over someone who doesn't even play for United, and that's a line I don't want to cross.

Also, the booing was clearly a pisstake. Cheer up, would ya?

Just seen the lad's interview on TV.

Club legend through and through. Praised the fans for his reception tonight, said he hit his volley probably too well. Said Rooney is probably the best player in the world right now, at least right up there with Ronaldo and Messi.

The fact that Beckham so viscerally feels this connection to United and to us, and that he was struggling to hold the tears back and, if nothing else, sympathises with the G&G campaign, makes me love him... It's such a rare thing for a professional to still be caught up in his former club, with them being so focused on their own careers.

Aye, no coincidence he picked up the scarf.

He's a United fan. He's one of us.

A pampered, preening, tattooed ponce, with an anorexic bint of a wife but one of us all the same. Which is why he's one ex-player who will always have a place in my heart.

(Bit too gay? Or metrosexual enough to be acceptable?)
