can't believe the number of people saying Mourinho on here!
HE DOES NOT BELONG AT MANCHESTER UNITED. i'd rather have someone who's never won silverware as a manager, but understands the club (like Keano) than that drama queen. shame on yous. |

Yes the more I think about it the more I like it. SAF either retires now and hands over to Carlos or he promises to go in one year after trying to win back to back CLs finals.
That solves the succession and Carlos problems in one fell swoop and may also keep Ronaldo happy. No way do we want Mourinho. We play ATTACKING football at OT. |

always admired Moyes. the way that he can take an average club and do good things. last year they had some tough breaks with injuries but overall I think he's done a decent job with what he's got.
same for Hughes. don't think that CQ would make it as #1 for us. I think Strachan would do alright too. he's certainly got some 'big game' experience at the Mgmnt level. |

Well things have changed since I started this thread. If CQ takes over Portugal I really do not see him becoming our new boss. People talk about a once in a lifetime opportunity with his country, but he won't get two cracks at the United job.

He's still got a shout albeit a slimmer one now and I wouldn't want him back at current standings. But let's say he does an outstanding job for Portugal in the World Cup, then who knows.

I'd have thought they'd both be too professional for that to be an issue. What would worry me more is that Moyes clearly has the potential to sell Rooney if the money's good enough - after all, he's done it before...

Fergies successor
No one stands out..
Kidd..no McClaren..No Hughes..not proven and no euro experience as a manager Keane...as above O'Neill..No CL experience of latter stages and a bit naive for my liking Wenger..fits the bill but would you want a cunt like that at OT Cant see anyone else on the horizon and fear a genuine decline for the club when he goes.. |

CQ simply because he has had experience before managing a top club, has been with us for quite some time now and has worked under SAF himself. I get the impression he would be the best candidate for the transition.

Would like someone who'd carry us on, making us play good attractive attacking football. Because when that happens, then winning will almost always follow.
That would not happen with Mourinho. He can stay as far from OT as possible. |
