Fletch and bad decisions

Do you think Fletcher is jinxed, being targeted by refs or just is it a bizarre set of coincidences. The list of genuine injustices against him is now getting silly.

To name but a few: Wrongly sent off and denied a place in the CL final, booked instead of given a penalty in the CL midweek, and now today has a free kick awarded against him (which led to a goal) when he came away cleanly with the ball today.

The poor lad must be getting paranoid.

He did seem exasperated towards the end, and you can't blame him.

Our fixture list isn't as scary going forward, and hopefully we can take the momentum from this game and see a few matches on the trot where we won't be lamenting what-ifs.

I honestly think his style gets the refs wound up. He's a little energizer bunny, and he makes so many tackles and hounds so many balls that referees end up thinking, "one of these has to be a foul, it's the law of averages!"

I was just thinking that. He does seem to have gotten some bad luck in some high profile matches. Having said that some would argue he was lucky not to concede a penalty against Arsenal so it will all work itself out.

Its not fair and its not right. Hopefully his luck will change and he starts getting decisions his way. Fletcher is one of the most improved players in world football and his importance cannot be underestimated. Unfortunately his style of play makes it easy for refs to think he is a fouler.

Am I the only one who saw Fletcher getting kicked and then slapped right in front of the referee at 78 minutes? I think it might have been Joe Cole, it was no. 10 anyway. I didn't imagine it as I played it back at the end of the match and it happened. It was the sort of kick Sky were screaming at when Rooney and Ronaldo did it last year.

I suppose with all the other shit decisions people have ignored this or were still so incensed from the unfair goal.
