For flip's sake, three more hours...

...till we get to see another home European night, and against Milan with a 3-2 win in the bag from the first leg, no less.

How's nerves, chaps and chapettes?

I've got the shakes, meself.

I predict a 2-1 win, on no basis in particular.

Not as exciting as it would be had we not won in Milan as I'm positive that we will qualify. The downside of winning 3-2 away from home is that home leg carries less excitement afterwards - I felt the same when we won 2-0 in Rome two years ago.

I predict a 3-0 win.

Still, if we do anything half as shabby as our passing at the back in Milan, we'll find ourselves having work to do.

At this level, with this sort of a team facing us, we can't discount them scoring two, in which case it'll be a race.

It will take something extra-ordinary for Milan to beat us by two goals at Old Trafford, or score three goals here. I haven't seen Milan do anything of a sort in a while, and with their main attacking threat Pato seemingly out they will need all the luck in the world to even stand a chance here.

Ronaldinho was their main attacking threat in the first leg and I get the impression he's been their main attacking threat for a while now (for the last couple of months anyway)

Looking forward to this, as I always do on Champions League nights at Old Trafford. Best way to break up a week & a great excuse to get the beers in!

Football is extraordinary, with some fair regularity, I find

But point taken... I still can't help feeling that matches like these very much hang in the balance, even with an aggregate scoreline of 3-2 in our favour with the second leg at home. Would Ronaldinho really need to be given that much before we suffer? A couple of moments of brilliance may do, and we all know they are capable of it, and that we're not at our most solid at the back.

He still scored plenty of goals this season and they will miss him as none of their remaining strikers is even close to that level. Huntelaar has been gash there, Boriello was never any good while Inzaghi is old and mostly offside (good finisher mind).

If they grab the first goal of the game, it will be open. If we manage to score first, it will pretty much be over as I cannot see them scoring three in a row with us not responding to it.

Of course it's not over, but I still felt more excited last season when we played Porto and had to win in Portugal, or when we played Real in 2003 and had to win by 2 at home, or when we played the same Milan in 2007 and had to defend the 3-2 lead gained at home (I still feel we would have approached the game differently had it finished 2-2 and things might have gone differently).

I've tried to catch Milan a fair bit this season, with Ronaldinho supposedly pulling the occasional rabbit out of the hat, and Becks returning after New Years, but I have to say Boriello has looked useful to me. His holding up of the ball has been good whenever I've seen him, and he seems to have a knack for getting a good/decent finish off in most situations... Add to that an acrobatic goal or two (I certainly remember a fully airborn volley.)

Now now... if we score one then they'll need to score three without us responding more than once... They can still have a go, and they will... you won't see the likes of Milan lay down.

Yes, we lost to Everton. But we might still win the league. Please cannibalize Berties instead. And hoping for no rage backlash at moi

im constantly flitting between deep fear that we're going to be 2-o down inside 20 mins to being convinced we're gonna have another 7-1 on our hands

i know were better than them, but i also know that utd are often intent on doing things the most difficult way possible

just want the game to start

Cannot wait!

Will be heading to a bar in Holland to watch the game with mates...really looking forward to this one.

All I hope is that we play in the United way. SAF has said that he thinks it will be an open game and that we need to kill the tie off through our attacking football.

Let's hope we play like we can...
