So who have I got the bets with, ecantona and Chris T ?

If Neville never plays for us again in a competitive match, Chris gives £5 and ecantona $25 to a Charity of my choice.

If he does, I give £5 each to a charity of Chris's choice and a charity of ecantona's choice.

Deal ?

Don't understand why everyone would write him off. Don't really see any reason why he couldn't be our regular right-back again next season, if he stays fit now and gets a good pre-season behind him. He's not THAT old for a defender, and he doesn't have a Solskjaer-like injury.

BTW I'd be willing to bet (not money but just bet) that he plays some part in a competitive match this season. It might be the last day when the league's already won or lost, or it might be as sub, but I reckon he will.

If the league is already won, does that count as a competitive match ?

Deal ?
Deal.

I'm curious, why are you so convinced he'll never play again? You're not going to beat him senseless with a bag of hammers, are you? That wouldn't be sporting.

No, it's just a gut feeling I have. I may be wrong, I really hope I am, but it's been nagging at me for about 6 months now, and until now, I've tried to ignore it, but all these setbacks have just added to my concerns.

How about a tagline change to "I'm a pessimistic fuckwit" for you and "I'm an optimistic fuckwit" for me depending on the outcome of the bet.

As promised, I will cough up.

Name the charities, either by PM or in the thread.

By the way, I'm pleased I lost this bet, it's great to have Gazza back!
