Reading the first para confirmed it was another one of those unremarkable, wittless wastes of time you stumble across from time to time. That is actually my argument with this whole thread. Someone thinks Chelsea are going to win the league (I happen to agree), or thinks they were better than us last year (I do not). So what? Why do you care enough to start a whole thread ranting about it, about people not getting behind the team?

I have brought this up before - it is a bit of a bug bear of mine - and someone pointed out my own hypocrisy, which I acknowledge. Why do I care that you care that people have a different set of expectations or a different level of optimism? Well I guess I shouldnt. I dont know why I am telling you this - you dont care what I think anyway, do you?

So anyway. My comment was worthless. But then so was your whole post. At least mine was succinct. And if you dont want to get involved in exchanged insults, dont start name calling. You fucking moron.

See i could live with a rational post like the above, well apart from some parts. Firstly, my orignal post was not a rant at all. We're about to enter a title race with chelsea and as i said to another poster this was not just a response to general muppetry on here,it is undeniable that the majority of football media has seemingly built chelsea up as an unstoppable force. my post was a precise reminder that they are far from that (IMO they have been stronger in the previous seasons than they are now) and that we should be looking at this race with optimism and not be misguided by a runaway media determined to go over the top. I think a title race is more enjoyable for fans if we do it without relentlessly going over the top about chelsea. the problem with a post like mine is that people get defensive and have this "well i never!" attitude. if you think what im saying isnt aimed at you then its most likely that it isnt. and lets face facts your first post in this thread contributed absolutely nothing but your own ill informed opinon that my post was provoked by a few rubbish post arounnd here.which if you bothered to read on you would see that wasnt the case and wouldnt have weighed in with such an insignificant post
