Potential.

Good tackler.

Bit laid back.

Sideshow Bob only played 15 minutes and did very well. Always looks composed and rarely gives the ball away. Won the ball back the only time he gave it away. Should be given more chances to play.

I'd like to see him playing at the base of the midfield, in all his cameos he's been put in between the midfielders and the strikers, he's not Anderson.

Good. Not amazing. Plenty of promise. Dallies on the ball a bit though.

Not enough time to make much of an impact, like the way he plays though. A future Carrick with a bit more pace IMO. Seems really comfortable with both feet, and clearly has vision. A classic midfield general IMO. Needs more playing time though, looks a bit easy to catch off guard atm.

Rarely gives the ball away, has a small selection of tricks to make space for himself, tackles clean, he's got huge potential

He did well, started by loosing possession, but immediately regained it. Broke down portsmouths attack lots of times and had good passes in different ranges.

Silky smooth passer. Looks stoned compared to Scholes.

sounds about what i expected. i love that he moves into a position to always receive the ball and isn't afraid of wanting it. i hope he develops a bit of a dribble and beat a man occaionally like kaka since he does seem to have that deceptive pace.

all in all looks like he'll be a fixture in our subs bench as he can give a breather for our ball-retainers (carrick and scholes).

What can I say, everything has been said.

You can see it clearly when he gets the ball he is very talented. Didn't do anything wrong and he won balls. I have the feeling he likes to attack so maybe he can be compared with the likes of Xavi and Fabregas later on in his career which is hopefully here at United.

I'm verry happy he already got 2 games (parts of games) I didn't expect him to be anywhere near the squad a couple of weeks ago.

Should be frustrating for homegrown Gibson but it's very clear Fergie rates him above Gibson. but the fewtimes i've seen Gibson he is nowhere close to Possebon

I expect several more minutes on friday

15 mins . no freekicks given away , no serious mistake
gave the ball away once and won it back 5 seconds later .. was available in the middle, didnt hide in a corner
looked comfortable on the ball
did nothing spectacular

has potential

what prateik said is fair.

Decent player is Possebon.

The RAWK lot hate him already due to his hair.

Very calm and composed. Didn't give a free kick away as Prateik said and that's the main thing.

I think carrick is two footed but rodrigo almost entices people in, manages to get it on his other foot and creates space for himself

I've raved about him and I don't believe it's foolish. I think we don't really know what he's capable of until he's played 40+ games and had a run of 90 minutes under his belt.

But you know a player and he is a player. A wonderful compliment to Anderson. He might have a different style but I think he could be as effective and he's still only 19

his performance today, short passing. Some forward, to the side. Showed good balance again. Lost the ball once I think (wasn't really set to recieve the ball) but won the ball back. Got in a tackle or two.

Fergie mentioned him in the interview after so the 15 minutes didn't go unnoticed. Additionally I was ok with o'shea in the middle today away from home and he was excellent

he just looks like a proper player. Was impressed by his confidence and presence. He didn't do too much, but what he did, he looked like a United player. I'm excited about him now.

Gibson now needs to request a transfer as he is miles down the list

Pretty much agree with all of this. He is very composed on the ball, and contrary to some people, has the strength to hold off the challenges. There's a comment above that likens him to a stoned Scholes, and I wouldn't say that's far off, though he holds on to the ball a bit longer in general and looks to run with it a bit - not neccessarily a bad thing.

Overall very promising.

Well that's the part of his game that no one knows about. it's too early to dismiss what he can do going forward. He's scored two belters for the reserves, has a wicked shot on him and is comfortable running with the ball so we'll see but when your playing by Anderson, we want to see similar things from him so it'll take time

got caught on the ball twice, but recovered.

once he sorts that out, he'll be ace.

true.

the thing about Gibson that frustrates me at times, is that he can be absolutely brilliant for about 60 minutes, then shite for the next 15, then brilliant again. it's strange.

normally a young player plays a shocker game to game.

Hes good on the ball and comfortable tackling.

He takes a little too much time on the ball - when he gets used to English football and United he will be a quality player. Should get a fair amount of games from the bench.
