I had a dream last night that Cantana scored the winning goal for us in this year's Champions League semi final against Lyon ().

So Cantona.

Neville if we're playing the Scousers.
Scholes if it's anyone else. 25 yard belter.

Ronaldo!

So there will no longer be any "he doesn't show up in big matches" and everyone will accept him as the best player in the world.

Ronaldo - He is always slated for not turning up in big games that would finally but the rubbish to rest.

Actually, I'd like SAF to sub VDS, run on take on 5 players and bang it in.

I'll wake up sometime today.

it'd be good for one of the old timers like Scholes or Giggs to get it.
Rooney would also be a good choice
but for comedy effect i'd love to see O'Shea's celebration

I am afraid if Gary Neville scored the matchwinning goal against Liverpool in an eventual Champions League Final, he would take his own life soon after that. It is the ultimate football fantasy scenario for Gary I suppose, but after that he would just be chasing that dragon, never again able to accomplish such a high.

I'd pick Rio or Vidic.

Sounds scarily like our treble win!

I've also had a rethink about our 2 centrebacks.

I think my choice of Vidic is rather self-explanatory (see left), whereas my choice of Rio is based on:

-The amount he has got slated over the years for that drug test, contracts etc
-Which has subsequently led to his emergence as the best defender in the world (in my humble opinion) and as an ultimate professional who is a credit to his club
- He merks people up.

Scholes deserves it.

Not that it really matters to me.

Who cares? Someone scores the winner for United in the CL Final. That's all that matters. The players don't care who scores it - sure, they'd all love to be idolised as "the hero" but they'd all be up there for us and they've all played their part.

Get a bus out of Giddyville.

Torres

A moment of realisation - he is playing in the biggest match there is and for the team he never wanted to go to. He could make a name for himself and secure his future at Liverpool for the rest of his career

or

he could shove Gerrard off the ball, turn round and head towards Reinas goal, nutmeg Carragher on the edge of the eghteen yard box, play a swift one-two with Rooney before smashing the ball past Reina to make it 1-0 to United with only 5 seconds of injury time remaining

Kinell, did you read the thread title?

I doubt any Utd fan would give a f*ck if it flew in off the Ref's arse or even bounced off a stray cat, as long as it counted.

Giggsy.

But I think Tevez will be more likely tbh.

Carragher. He has the big match experience of scoring for us. Preferably a fluky deflection against the run of play.
