Scholes, especially after the heartbreak of not being able to play in the 99 final. If he's good enough to play in 2 Champions League finals for a club like Manchester United almost 10 years apart, then he fucking deserves it.

The ref's arse then

Ronaldo, in the style of Giggs 99.

Captain gets sent off in the 72 minute
Our keeper saves a penalty in the 90th
Ronaldo comes on as sub and scores one of the best solo goals anyone can remember seeing in the 19th minute of extra time.

Not much to ask is it?
Not sure about having Ron come on as sub though

After further thought, I think one winner isn't enough. Especially if it's Liverpool.
I want us to batter the cnuts and have five lads all scoring winners.
Let's go 5 up on the hour and see where their five salutes disappear then.

I think Neville and Scholes divng for a header and simultanioulsy making contact with the ball to score a shared goal would be the best outcome.

Given that its a bit unlikely anyone will do!

I would actually rather it was Carragher but Gerrard would be sweet as well.

Easily Ronaldo for me, he deserves it, he's won countless games for us this season, including in the Champions League, and should rightly get the adulation that comes along with scoring the winner in the CL

I can“t decide. I would wish it to everyone. Ronaldo would probably deserve it the most as carry us the most of time recently. Giggs, Scholes, Neville... would deserve it the most for their commitment through their whole careers.

It would be funny if Wes scored a cracker from 30m to win it for us.

Id take a deflection of the Refs backside if it was the winner for United

Id like to think we won it with style in a good match but history will just remember the winner
So anyone who puts it in the opposition net would do nicely

Goal kick from VDS goes into midfield...

Anderson and Gerrard fight for the ball, and Anderson wins the 50-50 injuring Gerrard (fairly) in the process..

Anderson threads it to Scholes, who nutmegs Carragher, and then smashes it from 30 yards onto the cross bar,

and Neville is there to slot in the rebound..

Ronaldo's, Rooney's, Anderson's days will come.

Giggsy is the one.

Played 11 finals for us, not scored in a single one.

I imagine a popular answer would be 'couldn't give a fuck as long as we win', However, the legend of Solskjaer was enhanced by his winner, for which he'll always be remembered. So which of our players also deserves God like status for eternity?

Giggs or Scholes, to top off their careers and as reward for such loyal and magnificent service? Or a newer player, a current fave?
Gary Neville or Giggs

1. Paul Scholes, because he damn well deserves it.

2. Wayne Rooney, just because he feels like proving a point. I think it would be very nice if he just didn't score anymore goals (as long as we still take home the league, that is, he can score in other matches if we really need it) until the CL final, and then intentionally misses a lot of sitters throughout the game, just because he wants to play with everyone and score the winner in the 90th minute.

All just to prove a point, and that point is that he is the boss.

He could do all that, you know!

Ronaldo-deserves it.His work in the PL for us is superb and I want that "does not perform in big matches " tag to be gone.

Or my heart says Scholes.
