If Giggs can find the fountain of youth in his mid 30s, SAF can manage til he's 100.

Nice thought Waste.

Remember the 80s anyone? The 70s?

We will be hard pressed to be as bad as we were then but I agree with Waste that we could do a Liverpool impression at some time during the next 20 years.

Uncertain, the future is...

But face it, we must, with defiance, bravery and long term planning. Man Utd will never die and they have been predicting our demise for a very long time. Just how many empires have crumbled already?

Sir Alex Ferguson is the main man behind our success as always. His successor will need to be someone who subscribes to the same ethos laid down by the two greatest managers in this clubs history. Playing football the right way, never giving up, investing in young talents - homegrown and foreign and maintaining a winning mentality throughout the club. As for the situation with the Glazers, we dont know whats happening behind the scenes. The debt + repayments are a big worry and the rumours of us being skint wont go away. The truth is of course somewhere in between.

Still you cant help but feel encouraged by the talented young players we are recruiting these days. Their potential is considerable and im interested to see how they will develop. They are being trained and tested at the highest level which will surely prepare them for the expectations of the first team.

Whatever the future holds you know that Manchester United will have something to say about it.

Where does this t*sser come from "United went from 2003-2007 without winning a major trophy" - OK we won the PL in '03, FA cup in '04 ( knocked the '04 champions out in the smi-final) got to the FA Cup Final in '05 , won the LC in '06 and back to the champions of the PL in '07........ in all that time we were never out of the top 3 whilst the boss was managing a complete rebuild of the team........

Obviously, rebuilds are not in vogue anymore, teams have to have totally seemless transitions do they ? Whilst the game is run and played by human beings and not by droids, there will be fluctuations in success levels....... the secret of Fergies' success has been to stay in the hunt when he and his squads have been at their weakest....

Sensationalist b*llocks if you ask me, with a load of tosh as window dressing - and they
get paid for writing such drivel....
