Same with Smalling. Both have an incredible improvement rate and did so much better than anyone expected

Scoring goals galore is a very healthy habit for him. Everytime the ball flashes across the goalmouth you just expect him to be there.

Hernandez reminded me of Inzaghi at first sight, but he's quicker and has better technique. Do I not like that.

18 goals this season, fucking hell. The lad will get 20+ goals and who'd have thought that in his debut season? I think the majority of us just thought he'd spend some time in the reserves and maybe get the odd appearance. Fast forward to now....18 goals and already such an important part of our team.

I love him, can I marry him and have his babies?

Rooney really enjoys playing with him, Hernandez only needs one chance to make his mark on games - it's a great combination that has worked very well the past few months. Love his attitude, defenders hate him and he's going to get better next year.

I literally agree with Jamie Redknapp - signing of the century.

Its an area which can and will improve a lot

Twas funny seeing Rooney with his face buried in their nethers.

That pic reminds me of this very captionable one from the first leg. Sadly no Hernandez though:

Displacing our top goalscorer (this season) for big games. What a testament it is about Hernandez!

29 appearances, 15 goals from 42 shots (strike rate of 36%), 16 chances created & 1 assist - all for Ł7 million.

stats are for PL & CL games only & taken from SSN.

Hernandez's goals-to-shots ratio (3.7 in the league) is second only to Lisandro Lopez amongst this season's top strikers. Impressive finishing but more so a reflection of his ability to get into telling positions.

Yeah, wasn't sure just afer that goal, but this picture says it all. You can score with your head and Hernandez scored with his head.

Thank God referee disallowed it. Ramires penalty and this goal would be for Chelsea fans something like van Persie's red card for the Gunners.

To be fair my expectations from him weren't that low (reserves+odd game). I thought he liked a star at the world cup and did expect him to make an impact. Just not this huge ab impact. I thought maybe 10 goals for the season with little impacts here and there but he's well and truly made his mark, scoring winners left right and centre and becoming integral to our team.

You can but youll have to fight me off first

There was this piece of skill near the end of the game when the ball came from behind him (somewhere near the centre circle) and he just took it in his stride with his first touch and kept running with the ball till he got tackled.
I remember a few years ago, Solsjaer doing something similar and going on to score a goal.

This guy will do the business and will fit in right away with a goal in the Charity Shield.

I think that we can confidently say that this partnership with Rooney has to be UTD's first choice pairing.
I really feel for Berba, he hasn't done much wrong.

I have to agree with you there.

I always thought Berba would be one to understand squad rotation, but being top scorer, and having had a phenomenal season, he's got to wonder what else he can do!

Saying that if Fergie could keep Teddy. Ole, Cole and Yorke rotating, I'm sure he knows when and how to utilise all of our strikers!! Berba gets to play at Wembley this weekend!

There was one moment last night just before half time when a Chelsea player was about to play the ball out from defence and Hernandez came from absolutely nowhere and nabbed it off him to set up another attacking move. It's very hard not to get carried away, but this guy is just awesome in every single way.

I don't think our scouting network has taken enough credit here...7 million pounds, christ.

I know this gets repeated all the time, but what a coup, we signed some bloke who obviously hasn't played 50 organized football matches in his life(bebe) and for the same price we signed an international striker, who has taken to European football like it was child's play.

CR(12m, expensive at the time tho), VDS, Park, Evra, Vida, the twins, Hernandez, Smalling.
Most of our signings have been good as well ever since the Djemba2 days.

The summer we bought Djemba we also bought CR. People always point out that period as being proof that Fergie can be shit with transfers. But you can be excused buying 5 Djembas if you buy one Ronaldo.
