Can't say I blame him, I go into this season with little expectations, simply because of the massive achievement it would be to retain even just one of our titles, let alone both.
Agreed! It's gonna be a much tougher season & Keano has a better knowledge than most!

This would be another slip of judgement.
Your examples would be? Considering this chap played his fucking heart out for a club he adored and was adored by the club, he spoke his mind and took no shit from anybody!...Hardly a man to let 'shit' come out!

The two most obvious 'Stupit Shit Talkin' Keano moments had been:

The World Cup outburst leaving his teammates with a bag of bad blood between he and the manager.

And his exit - that was, over-the-top, criticism of the young up and comers.

...don't have time for more.

He was right in both situations though, even if he might have been better to be a bit more conservative about it.

I don't know why, but i agree with Keano. Somehow, i've always felt that Chelsea has the better squad, though the first eleven is on-par, on us slightly ahead, in terms of quality. However, if we do not buy a striker, i see ourselves dropping valuable points in the first 6 games. Somehow, without Ronaldo, our football tend to be a lot more predictable. My prediction is we will get off to a really bad start but if we are still within 3 points of Chelsea after Christmas, we have a chance.

Scolari will leave the Renties wide open on the counter. They'll batter the shit teams & get beat by us, Arse & the dippers.

Keane can say what he likes and the 'pundits' can say what they like. However, the 'money' is saying us.

why dont you shut yours! He is entitled to his opinion just like anyone else! AQnd he owes United nothing! I reckonh hes probably just about on the money anyway.

I doubt for one minute that SAF of the players will be bothered by his opinion anyway ... but ypou my friend just need to lighten up!

Here's my point as the the 'Stupit Shit' comment...

Because United didn't sign an addtional forward, our boys will need all the encouragement, going forward.

I would bet that Fergie and the many other people in high places that have had some affilliation with the Man U. at some point... could come up with a plethera of reasons why Sunderland could be at risk of going down this year. Or why, as least a dozen other clubs deserve to make it through without relegation, before Sunderland.

But... No, no help or encouragement from Keano.

So, as valid as anyone might see Keano's comments, they do less than help a tough situation for the hard working men that slip on a United kit and make a go of it.

I have enormous respect for Keano's accomplishments and contribution to the club, but he can start running his mouth like the drunkin' angry tosser on the end-corner bar stool.

When that drunk blurts out something, everyone rolls their eyes... knowing that there's some truth to the idiot's maddness, but it's not the clear and whole truth of what our boys can accomplish.

Hope that makes sense... (stream of thought as I awaken - not worth my full brain-power)

He got asked a question, he gave an honest answer to it. He shouldn't have to say he thinks United will win it because he is a former player/legend.

I was about to say, 'Good Point'...

But the narrow mindedness and lack of understanding as to how this effects our side as they take the pitch, is beginning to make me less patient.

So, here is my alternative response:

HE DIDN'T HAVE TO FUCKIN' SAY CHELSEA WOULD BEAT OUT UNITED, BECAUSE THAT LACKED A NEW STRIKER!!!

For fuck sake, why don't you people get IT!

He could have been more thoughtful, and said something like, 'Both clubs have their plusses and minusses, and it will be up to the players on the pitch.'

ps... have a good opening-day Brwn.

He could have said something more conservative like that, but that's just not Keano.

And tbh, I don't really think it will have any sort of adverse effect on our team at all. If it does have any effect at all, it might just spur them on like when he criticized a few players before he left and some of them stepped up their game.

Keane's made some comments in the past about hunger and how he could tell some player's mindsets had slipped that night we won the champions league, during the celebrations.

Perhaps he thinks the same will have happened again - that our players wont want it as much as Chelsea.
