He was in and out of the Scunthorpe match. What annoyed me was his constant obsession to being offside. He must have been watching a video of Robbie Keane.
He has massive potential, but he is the type of player who needs to play regularly for him to improve. He needs to be sharp, a few games here and there and we won't see the best of him. |

Instant impact, brilliant stuff, as said above it was wonderfully selfless.
It has often been talked about how Ole would watch a match intently from the bench and pick up on weaknesses etc, I wonder if Kiko has a similar habit. |

I find it utterly bizarre how he looks so shit when he starts games and like a future Ruud when he comes off the bench. Anyway, who really cares as long as he continues to have an impact on games like he did tonight.

You can see why Fergie rates him so highly.
I was watching him off the ball (for the brief time he was on) and he was constantly making great runs. Hard to say who we should prioritise - him, Hernandez, (or Owen). |

He's got so much better at shielding the ball. He doesn't look like he'll get bullied about anymore which was a critism I had of him in his 1st breakthrough season. Looks far more composed and seems to be able to get involved with the game straight away.
Impressive stuff. |

We've got 3 brilliant striking options to come off the bench. All players able to make a difference instantly on arrival. I dont know how Fergie decides which one of them to throw on. Each offer great movement and a killer instinct infront of goal

I must also add to what others have already said in regards to his movement, if only hernadez had looked up, he could have fed Kiko for a second easily. He was threatening that back line of Valencia and it was refreshing to see. If SAF can get the right pairing of his strikers, we can be deadly.

I think re: not bringing Owen on it was about horses for courses. You bring Owen on for his intelligence and positioning against physical teams where they'll leave gaps, but bring on Kiko for a bit of physical presence and Chicharito when they're playing a high back line and pressing. Valencia would have covered Owen a lot more comfortably than the youngsters IMO.

From another forum:
Asked by Swedish telly if he's getting frustrated by not getting any starts and he says "No, because I know that the players ahead of me are much more experienced than me" and that he's very happy every time he gets the chance to show the boss what he can do. |

macheda has a proper star quality about him. met the lad before and even at 17 he exuded confidence. Of all the players we have, I have the highest hopes for him, though i know i am biased.
