Kompany's was correctly a red.

Johnson's should have been a red.

As in the old saying "Two's company, three's a crowd". See how that's a pun, while what you wrote was a fairly tedious list? See?
Was just gunna say that myself.

It's all in the delivery.

Not forgetting either the previous week when he was waving an imaginary red on the side-lines. Don't remember the game.

Should have been though. What's your point? That because the ref got it wrong with the Johnson tackle, Kompany shouldn't have been sent off?

Where's the shit storm about that tackle? Do you think he stayed on because no Man City player asked the ref to give him red. Where's the reffing consistency? Was it not a worse tackle than Kompany's? Quite a few questions in there I'd say.

Just seen it from a different angle and Milner does exactly what Rooney did and goes to the ref gesticulating with 2 fingers in the air, Mancini must have missed it !

You have to hand it to pete. He doesn't give an inch.

Why was Kompany's tackle fair, according to him? Let me see if I can remember...something to do with not being high and getting the ball, was it?

... and not being reckless or with excessive force (your point was that getting the ball was irrelevant so I'd take a hard look at your own logic first).

Why? I think both were incredibly obvious reds!

I'm not sure how not having any control of your body or momentum when you launch yourself with two feet off the ground ISN'T reckless. If Nani hadn't hurdled the challenge he'd have been looking at serious ankle or lower leg injury.

It was obviously reckless, it was a two-footed studs-up leap. pete knows this. As a rule of thumb, if he's in the MU, he's taking the piss slightly more surreptitiously than usual.
