To be fair, that's just bollocks.
I hate their artificial wealth as much as anybody, but no title is easily won or "bought", no matter the size of your transfer budget, wage bill, or quality of your players. Just ask numerous Real Madrid teams and managers since 2000. If City win the league, fair do's, Mancini has done an excellent job of improving certain players and the overall mentality of that club, sadly this will improve if/when they become champions. He saw the potential of Hart over the tried and trusted Given and it's turned out to be a key decision he's got right, he's performed a minor miracle in moulding Lescott into IMO a top, reliable CB, he moved Kompany from midfield to CB and has overseen his progression into a world-class defender and ideal leader, overall, Mancini and City have benefitted from the finances available to them but it's through hard work on the training pitch and gradual improvement over the last few seasons that looks likely to win them the title. As for us, we've got no-one to look at but ourselves. A team who tosses away a 8 point lead in 3 weeks and performs in a virtual decider like we did tonight, deserves everything they get, or in our case, don't get. |

What in the name of sweet divine Jaysus does that make our performance then? They were better in every area. Deserved it tonight. We're a bit off that level. We have guts and history and tradition and character. We squeezed a Champions league final and a title last year out of a squad that's a couple or 3 of genuinely top class players off competing genuinely with the best in Europe and might still pull a 20th title out of the bag this time round, but it doesn't alter the facts.

City and United have been equals this season.
The title hinged on the 2 games between us, we didn't do ourselves justice in either one. Have to make sure we do better against them next season, simple as that. |

We on the other hand are playing 2 teams who have much less to play for, relatively speaking. It's still on, we just have to do our bit and hope City fuck up! Come on!!!

Talent wise we're not. What keeps us hanging is SAF brilliance, the old guard and Young's Emmy Awards performances throughout the last couple of games. If we do win the league then SAF deserves a statue right in the middle of OT. This is one of the worst teams we have ever had throughout his reign.

And no one knows how the EPL work better then SAF. That's the main reason why we went toe to toe with Shitty. If the man was leading Shitty instead of us, then they would have won the league 1 month ago. This is one of SAF's weakest United teams ever.

If we were talking about a massive gap between the clubs, as this thread would suggest, then I would be worried, but there is nothing in it. A Premier League has never been won on GD, that's how close it is. We have been responsible for our own demise this season in my opinion. |

They may be better than us but the episode with Ballotelli has been a lucky break for them. They have been a better side without him. But they are a club with no morals at all and have just won the lottery. That is all. When it eventually dries up I will laugh my cock off.

We're a team in transition. Said this months ago, before I ever came up here into the mains. We're a team in transition, we have a great young squad, and whether we lose this league title or not, we'll grow from this season, we'll learn from this season, and whether we win or lose the title we'll be better for the experience.
All credit should be given to Ferguson for keeping us competitive while being in transition. We won a title last year whilst being in transition, and have competed this year, and could still win it, whilst being in transition. Other clubs don't do that. |

City are going to win the league. We're level on points with them. All other conclusions depend on your point of view. I certainly would be embarrassed with some of the hyperbole you've come out with, but then again I'm quite comfortable with my reading of the situation. |
