Nani's been really impressive with his assists tally especially with the amount of football he's played.

Hey Mozza, does Rooney's 9 goals in here include the opener against Arsenal in November? I just read that they just gave it officially to William Gallas for an O.G.

Nope, its the one o.g. this season, unless Rio gets one marked off against him (Villa in the league I think)

League Goals/Assists 07/08

Goals

Ronaldo 16
Tevez 10
Rooney 5
Saha 4
Ferdinand 2
Giggs 2
Nani 2
Scholes 1
Vidic 1

Assists

Rooney 7
Nani 6
Giggs 5
Tevez 5
Brown 2
Ronaldo 2
Anderson 1
Evra 1
Ferdinand 1
Hargreaves 1
O'Shea 1
Scholes 1
Simpson 1
Vidic 1

Here are the league goals/assists so far. Can't be arsed looking up the stats from all competitions.

My thoughts:

Ronaldo = phenomenon
Tevez = brilliant signing (two fingers to the nay-sayers)
Rooney = team-player
Nani = surprisingly effective
Defenders = doing their bit
Central midfielders = it's your turn now

I read that Wayne's goal against the Goons was given as a Gallas o.g. by the Dubious Goals Panel. But Rio and Giggs' strikes against Villa were both given to them.

Tevez is having a really good season. He's only 3 off the 15 goal target that SAF set him. To think that he had a real lean spell when he first joined as well.

Wayne is due a few goals. I think he'll cane a team soon.

Headers, both feet, volleys, solo run goals, tap ins, finshing of moves, free kicks and penalties.

And he's missed one pen and not taken two cos Saha did.

And City are losing...

Worryingly, there seems to be a lack of variation in our goalscorers lately. Really, Giggs, Carrick and a few others should be getting a few.

That's true. We do have less players scoring overall than last season.

It'd be nice to see more from midfield.

Ronaldo's cover the midifield or now. He has 25, against Giggs 2, Nani 2, Scholes 1, Carrick, Anderson and Hargreaves 0.

Hopefully Scholes will get back to scoring now he's fit again. And that Vidic and Evra get a few, though Ferdinand and Pique have five between them.

Isn't fixing a penalty considered an assist? I'm pretty sure it is in the Fantasy PL, which follows the Barclay's official stats.

Not sure if Rooney should be awarded the assist anyway, since it was a handball, I was just wondering..

No, neither does the player who forces an o.g. get an assist
