Apparently, PFC Kuruvchi has made a bid for Manu-cho. But United are going back with an improved offer. Watch this space.

Fergie says(according to SSN as well as other newspapers) that he will be applying for a WP for manucho this season and expects him as well as Frazier Campbell to be part of our strike force this season.

Bad news for Saha, I think.

For us this is great. We just need to hope and believe that we will succeed with our application this time around. Manucho deserves to escape his transfer limbo.

Did not play the friendly. Hope he will return next month for qualifiers.

Quote:
Angola's injured striker Manucho has pulled out of their warm-up match in Tunisia ahead of next month's resumption of World Cup qualifiers in Africa, officials said.

Manchester United's Manucho, who has not been registered by the English champions for this season because he needs a British work permit, has been replaced in the squad by Portuguese-based forward Mateus, the Angolan Football Federation announced.

Uganda's Daily Monitor reports that Manucho has been left behind as the Black Antelopes head to Cotonou to face Benin. Perhaps next month, when they face Niger of October 10.

Kickoff is at 5am GMT Sunday.

I think Manucho did a couple of clever runs, but needs alot of minutes to get back to match fitness, getting that confidence and learning our style of attack.

So, how do everyone think he did during his short cameo last night? New Dong? New Adebayor? New Saha?

If that was dong performing last night the way manucho did..forget about it

But we shouldn't forget Drogba initially looked next to useless and then bang.

He needs time. He's a strong lad, looks quite quick. I think he needs to stay composed and chances will come his way.

Let's be honest. He was useless when he came on but there are reasons for that. He did make one or two nice runs - he looks a giant on the pitch but maybe it'd have been easier for him starting the game? Who knows

I would agree with that.

On the plus side, i was pleased with his movement and pace. On the down side, every other aspect of his game was pretty terrible.

Of course, before last night, my biggest concerns were about his movement and pace. Or lack thereof. Which bodes well for the future.

He had so little time on the pitch but made some nice runs and showed good awareness of space. He almost scored on his debut and that would have been something. He will get more oportunities to prove himself in the near future.

Thought he was great in his last game for the reserves.

He didn's play in their last game and I've been informed (by the reserve/youth forum caftards) that this was because he was away on international duty. Anyone know how he got on? Looks like Angola won 3-1 last Sunday (although still ended up eliminated from the qualifiers) but I've no idea whether he featured or not.

Surely to feck he should be getting his game for Angola? Does anyone know if he played for them? Or is he injured?

Looks like he started but was substituted at half time.
