Well Redender, lets hope that this is just a smokescreen and he is involved in some capacity. Greece is no different to anywhere else, it is all mind games.

Well I am off to the match, fingers crossed that he plays.

Full report to follow if he does!!!

Well no more UEFA Cup for Manucho or Panathinaikos this season. Went out on away goals after 1-1 draw here. He did not even make the bench.

You can see why they need Manucho, they were very poor in front of goal. The goal they scored was brilliant but scored by a defender. They had 23 shots on goal in all and did not hardly work the goalkeeper.

Hope this now means that Manucho will start the next game at the weekend, after warming his feet in front of the fire.

Greek Red Tape!!!

Fans of Panathinaikos are very upset that their high profile signing Manucho has still not appeared for them. They are now out of Of Europe and he will not feature in tonights match against Levadiakos. It has now come to light that as well as his circulation problems caused by the recent low temperatures he has still not been issued with his green card. In Greece things do take time but usually a backdoor can be found so it is very surprising to see that Manucho is still sitting on the sidelines.

I thinks its good that Manucho is dealing with some cold temperatures. He probably wasnt expecting it to be that cold in Greece -at least he wont be shocked by the cool temperatures in Manchester.

Manucho is in line to make his long awaited debut for Panathinaikos against AEK Athens at The Olympic Stadium tomorrow night, 7pm ko. ( 5pm Eng time ).

He has been training very well and all the paperwork is now in order.

Again, I will go and hope to see Manucho play a part in this big Athens derby match and will let you all know, how he went on.

All depends on getting a work permit. Fergie seems to think he's got a great chance to get one.

All I can say is that I hope Manucho is worth all this hype. 100 posts and he has not even kicked a ball yet. I know I am partly to blame for that but I have just forked out 60 euros for two tickets for me and the wife, so he better play well or I am in trouble!!!

Well 90 minutes of crap football, no Manucho, 60 Euros down the pan and to cap it all, my wife wont speak to me for putting her through the whole ordeal.

Panathinaikos only have 8 games left of the season, so Manucho is not going to get much European experience here.

Hate that! Admire your dedication, though, and thanks for keeping us all posted.

He has not featured this season as the coach is worried after his injury troubles at the end of last season.
As you know, he was picked for the first team last season as a 16 year old but got abdominal problems that the doctors blamed on him being pushed to hard in training over the last year or so.
Now, they wont push him too hard as they are worried he will break down again.
Shame, he was a very good player for his age!
