Why the fuck can't other team's managers realise that anyone who is under contract to Manchester United is likely to be considerably better than what they've got?
This is like Rossi at Newcastle all over again. |

he hasnt been loaned out because we didnt need him here .. he is on loan because we didnt get a permit and even training with panathanikos is better than playing for his former club
he will get a few games eventually .. and hopefully his permit in the summer |

![]() Dozens, you say? Care to name them? Just 12 would be a start. And he was sent to Greece because the coach there spoke Portugese, which is Manucho's mother tongue. And if he was too fecking cold in Greece, how do you think he'd be enjoying winter in Holland or Belgium? |

So far the only clue we have as to Manucho's level is a few games in the ACON. He looked quite good, but it is a competition where attackers can make hay due to the frankly laughable standard of defending. The Pana coach cannot be expected to instantly drop a first team member for a player with little or no pedigree at any sort of level, regardless of who he is contracted to. Unless he really made an impact immediately I always expected it to take a while for him to win his place, which I hope(and think) he will.

Well the excuse for Manucho's non appearance last night was that the pitch was not up to much and it was felt that it was not worth risking him. He will make his long awaited debut against Larissa at home at 7pm( 9pm your time ) on Sunday night. WE WILL SEE!!!!!
What makes it more likely is that N'Doye the main striker is injured and out for a couple of weeks. Panathinaikos have another 7 games left. Maybe the coach is thinking that if Manucho does not play many games, he will have less chance of getting work permit in the summer and Panathinaikos can keep him for another year. |

There is obviously a good reason that he's not getting a game. The manager gets to see him everyday in training, and based on that, isn't playing him. We've seen him in what 3 matches. Panathinikos don't have an obligation to play him you know.
Maybe he's just not good enough ? |

if they were doing it just so he couldn't get a work permit he wouldn't be in greece next season anyway..
it's a balancing act. you play manucho from the start, the strikers at the club already are not happy. when situations arise like now possibly with the guys injury then the coach can put him in knowing that he can keep him in if he's producing the goods He's also settling into a new country and it's not easy. it's 'hopefully' a temp solution which makes it harder - it's like waiting in the airport for x amount of months. It takes awhile to adjust If Manucho can impress at United enough for us to sign him he can impress in training matches over in greece - though that's not a given. Paitence |

On other comments made re training, he has been impressive in training but as I have said in earlier posts, this manager does not put new players straight in. He likes to give them time to settle in. Rumour has it that Panathinaikos do have an agreement that if Manucho does not get his work permit, he will remain here at Panathinaikos for another season. |
