This Manucho guy is really starting to get on my nerves, i didn't like him before, but now he's made his debut for pana and he has the audacity to score a shit goal, who the fuck does he think he is? If he thinks he can come to united and score a shedload of shit goals he's got another think coming! There's nothing worse IMO than a prolific scorer of shit goals! SAF'll probably sort him out though, he'll tell him not to bother scoring if the goal is gonna be shit, pass it to rooney or something, or just boot it out for a throw. I'd rather we lost every game 1,000,000-0 than win by one shit goal!

I personally thought it was a well taken goal. First time on the volley, it wasn't the cleanest of strikes but it beat the keeper, because he put it to the side of the keeper not down the middle of the goal (Tevez on Saturday). Don't get me wrong this is not a Manucho better than Tevz comment just simply pointing out that a goal is a goal. He was in the right place at the right time and finished it with what apparently was pretty much his first chance.
One question remains was it bad marking or was it his ability to create space inside the box?? I watched him playing for Angola he does have a good pace about him and can create space quite well. Just to add... if any one of our current players would have scored an exact replica of that goal for us on Saturday then it would have been classed as a well taken goal on the volley!! |

yeah, the goal was fantastic! Best goal i've ever seen bar none! I've loved Manucho since he first signed, every goal he scores is top drawer. It's hard to compare him to another player, he seems to be in a class of his own, but, if i were forced, i'd have to say he's most like Pele, but slightly better.

I watched the whole match, but Manucho seemed really slow to me,way to slow for premier league games, even though he does look like he has got something about him that will make him a top striker.

But all the pundits at the time described him as quick and so did Fergie and Queroz after we signed him. Maybe he's one of those really big bokes who look like they're running slower than they actually are, because they take such huge strides? |

Dont know if anything has been discussed with Fergie but Manucho has come out in the Greek press this morning, saying that he feels as though he will have to stay at Panathinaikos for longer than just this season.
He also says that he was a little weary, when taken off on Sunday but promises that he has a lot more to give and with more matches, can start delivering on a regular basis. I fear that if he stays at Panathinaikos for to long, he will get a little lazy like most of the players here. The training, is very different, to English football and as some of you saw on Sunday, any striker, sharp and match fit, would have stood out in that match. One positive point, is that the two centre backs for Larissa who Manucho was up against in Sundays match were two of the most consistent defenders in the Greek League. I hope that if he does stay in Greece, that Fergie will get him back to Manchester at every opportunity, to check his levels of fitness and monitor his progress. |

As I said in an earlier post, Manucho has today hinted that he may have to wait a little longer for his return to OT.
If we dont get him next season, he is going to be 26 by the time he gets to us and then he is going to have to get used to The Premier which is a lot faster and tougher than the Mickey Mouse league he's in here. |
