OK, this I trust more!:

UEFA

The visa exemption applies to all ticket holders coming to Russia for the final in the period between 19 and 23 May. Supporters will need to present a valid match ticket, a valid passport and a completed immigration form upon entrance to the Russian Federation. All fans travelling to Russia without visas will be asked to keep their ticket up to departure from Moscow. Anyone overstaying the 72-hour entry period will then have to pay the fee for a regular visa when leaving the country.

Or, here's VisitRussia, back to make things really clear:

The said decision will be enforced by an Act which to be adopted in a term comfortable allowing the supporters to arrive for the game in time.

Fucking brilliant news. 72 hour free stay in Russia if you have a ticket (even if not in your names).

Saved me £150 that has.

Glad to see people with season tickets in the names of others etc wont be screwed.

Although I would rather see it so that names were on tickets but the names could be transfered. Might go towards getting rid of the bastard touts and ticket forgeries!

Then there's this:

Georgia says "very close" to war with Russia

Quote:
Russia's deployment of extra troops in the breakaway Georgian region of Abkhazia has brought the prospect of war "very close", a minister of ex-Soviet Georgia said on Tuesday.

Separately, in comments certain to fan rising tension between Moscow and Tbilisi, the "foreign minister" of the breakaway Black Sea region was quoted as saying it was ready to hand over military control to Russia.

"We literally have to avert war," Temur Iakobashvili, a Georgian State Minister, told reporters in Brussels.

Asked how close to such a war the situation was, he replied: "Very close, because we know Russians very well."

"We know what the signals are when you see propaganda waged against Georgia. We see Russian troops entering our territories on the basis of false information," he said.

Georgia, a vital energy transit route in the Caucasus region, has angered Russia, its former Soviet master with which it shares a land border, by seeking NATO membership.

An April summit of the U.S.-led Western alliance stopped short of giving it a definite track towards membership but confirmed it would enter one day.

Russia has said its troop build-up is needed to counter what it says are Georgian plans to attack Abkhazia, a sliver of land by the Black Sea, and has accused Tbilisi of trying to suck the West into a war -- allegations Georgia rejects.

Ok, I only just found out that I've got tickets thanks to the ineptitude of the ticket office. Any help regarding how to get to moscow for a reasonable price would be very much appreciated, I've been looking for the past hour and it's really not looking good! Advice from Ralphie88 would be even more appreciated! Cheers...

Your options are not great to be honest - well, not if you want to do it for a resonable cost. My mate was offered a face value ticket and we looked for flights/hotels but they were either too expensive or were not available.

The flights i got, which i posted last week are now over £800 - i paid about £370. After spending all day looking, i have just found another place to stay after being stiffed by the previous place i had booked.

Your best bet may be to fly in and out in a day, but i dont know who is offering those packages - i believe the club charters are all gone.

Though im sure ralphie will be able to find something for you

Sultan, rumours are abound that tomorrow there will be lots of returns going on sale at the TO, so your best bet is probably to call them in the morning with various sob stories and hope for the best! How would you be getting there if you did manage to get a ticket?

Cheers. I'll be at Old Trafford in the morning.

I'm most likely flying from Dubai with mates.

Further to my glee in my other thread about an hour ago it looks like there's no way I'll be able to afford this! Looking at 800 quid each plus accomodation + the uncertain costs that being in Russia may bring. Add that on to ST renewal and it's just not feasible.

In that case, if there is a way of transferring them is anybody interested in 2 spares? At the moment the only thing I'd really be after are 2 for Wigan + the difference in price.

Sorry mate, as it stands I've got family friends who I'll give them to if I can't get Wigan - that seems to (fingers crossed) be my best bet for a United knees up in the next few weeks! But if it does end up coming to getting rid on here then you will be the first person in mind, just FV no bother about other games. Also if anyone is able to construct some sort of teleportation device within the next couple of weeks you know who to PM.

Yeah fair enough, I've just been revising EU law the past few weeks mate so I'm stuck in that whole context, and basically just looking for something to shout at for this farce...

Edit - how are you making your way to this mattress incidentally...im guessing you booked quite a while ago?

What's your total price then Ralphie?

Lets see who can do Moscow on the shortest shoe string.

For 2 nights, mine is...

Flights - 370
Hotel - 60 (private room in a decent looking hostel)
Ticket - 120

Total - £550

I paid more than that for Barca away.
