I've been thinking about it for a while but I just can't afford it on the money I earn, not after Barcelona anyway

Your chances of doing it on that budget are slim to nil!

1. Tickets from United/Chelsea will not have names on them.

2. Even if they did, they wouldn't be checked at the turnstiles.

Im suprised by that. surely for them to be a valid Visa they will have to have the names on them?

Does anyone know if official tickets bought from United will suffice as entry requirement for non UK nationals - without needing a visa?

This is now testing even my patience.

We have made all the arrangements from Dubai, and the word is we need visas even though we are British passport holders, when flying from other destinations.

Have we even got enough time?

I thought tickets served as Visas. I didn't think it mattered from where you were flying into Russia from.

Remember sultan people are going to be flying in from all over the shop, whether they live in Britain or not, due to a lack or direct flights etcetera. Looks like Mclovin has cleared it up anyway!

The problem being the Russians are not very efficient. Even their foreign embassies are not aware of the situation. Manux is flying from Dubai, and was told he'll need a visa.

If the airlines are not informed we could have scenes at various airports. It might be an idea for those travelling from non UK destinations to take a printed copy of the link provided (McLovin) by the Russian Embassy.
