In case anybody else is still around and reading these, http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...n etworkfront:

""With the game starting at 10.45pm local time, fans are expected to spend much of the day in special fan zones in the vast stadium complex in central Moscow. The zones have been described as "holding camps" but in reality they are ordinary areas where fans can relax, have a meal and play football. Alcohol, however, is banned."

Good find mate, I'm steering well clear in that case.

In fact my trip is getting better and better. I'm now being picked up at the airport by a Russian TV crew and they've offered us a minibus and free bar to party after the game in. All for a few interviews. Fucking bizarre.

a) how do you wangle that shit?
b) how do i get in on it?

My only worry is that, contrary to what the ticket office say, the airport buses will go only to the fan-zones and they'll make you stay there.
The ticket office also claimed there'd be booze at the fan-zones.

I'm not going to get on the buses. Will try to jump on the train to the centre (one-stop 40 mins). My Russian mates claim the traffic tomorrow is going to be completely fucked.

I was being picked up but they warned me about the traffic so I'm getting the train now. Will meet them at their offices near Red Square. Will be handy having someone who speaks Russian I think!
