Bobby Charlton was a guest of Roberto Mancini at the Etihad Stadium last weekend. In the hospitality lounge after the game, Mancini asked Sir Bobby,
"How do you think the current City team would fare against the Utd team of 1968?''

Charlton replies ''I think it'd be a close run thing,maybe a draw''

Mancini walks away feeling very pleased with himself, when Charlton shouts across the room,

''Mind you, we haven't trained in 30 years''

lol, sharp stuff from Charlton in that quote wr8 posted.

RIP... On this day of the year I usually search and read about the Babes, look at some clips and wish there were more footage from those days. Not knowing what heights we would have heard and seen Duncan Edwards climb is almost an unbearable thought

RIP Busby Babes and to the others who lost their lives.

Reading about it again today still sends shivers down my spine. Sir Bobs interviews regarding that day and the events after will make any grown man rather emotional.

RIP to all of them. That's all I can say, really. Words can't really describe how awful this tragedy was, even all these years on.

RIP

Pretty weird that the Busby Babes' last game was a 3-3 against Red Star Belgrade with United leading 3-0 before getting caught up, and yesterday what we know

To be fair, comes this day each year, all the forums and such I see from all of the clubs, including Liverpool and City, always pay their utmost respect and top marks to them.

As said in there, somethings trump rivalry, and people who sing about any tragedy are scum. I can't watch any more videos and such now, starting to well up a bit much.

If there is one thing about today that can be called good, its that it brings out the best in people and shows that most supporters of any club are good people

I was watching the flowers of manchester clip posted above earlier, and had to explain my tears to my little girl, and all about the babes, then she cried a little too, but it was a special moment passing the memory on.

One of the most emotional videos I've ever seen. It's a story that will live with me for a lifetime. So moving. The way we responded to it as well. Just top class. You couldn't make this stuff up.
