Nani's injury | Fit | Nani: "What Carragher did was not football"

Any updates etc...? Let's keep this thread for that..

Tbh, I'm right now more concerned about the injury than the result of the game itself, and from Nani's reaction when he was going off, looked really bad.

EDIT:
Spoiler

Wouldn't be surprised if it was broken or he was out for the season from his reaction..

It was a tackle on his left shin when all his weight was on it but I didn't see any breaking or anything along those lines. Hopefully it's just badly bruised. Would be devastating if it kept him out for the rest of the season.

You can actually get an adrenaline burst even with a serious injury and jump to you feet. Animals very often get up and rn away after being run over only to die later.

Having said that its Nani we are talking about, so its probably bruised pride more than anything else

At the very least he's got a massive gash on his shin.

Hopefully nothing broken.

Absolutely disgraceful by Carragher. He deserves a few smacks for that.

Collymore has the IQ of a pig's arse, Souness & Wilkins on Sky were very critical of it. Watch how MOTD & the press completely ignore that disgusting tackle.

As for Nani, hopefully he'll be ok but his reaction did not look good.

Craig Burley the commentator said a couple of times that the way Nani got up and ran to the ref showed he can't be all that hurt.

I was thinking the same think about a adrenaline burst.

Hopefully the leg is not broken or Nani is seriously hurt.

A man leaves the pitch crying and commentators dare to say 'its a bit much''. I mean come on. Do you even know how badly he could be hurt?

The problem with Nani is he cries wolf far too often. All of his playing acting and antics are a turn off an no one believes him when he is really hurt.

Nani's on the ground in agony and punches the ground in frustration, Jon Champion's (or whoever's commentating with Craig Burley) reaction: "Nani lashes out at a St. John's ambulance man."

Fucking oaf.

That's the biggest worry from today. Forget the result, we deserved nothing. Nani looked in serious pain out there and i'm not surprised. Carragher hit him high up on his standing foot with a lot of force. I hope it looks worse than it actually is because he's one player we can't do without.

Get well soon.

Still for pundits who have "played the game" i am shocked that they believe just because a player got straight back up he cant be hurt. Didnt Fabregas take a pen vs Barca last season only to pull up as he went to the half way line? And he was out for a few months after that

Scored and played on for 10 minutes with a broken leg.

Nani wasn't crying about the pain, he was evidently crying because he knew he couldn't continue and make amends for his brain fart.

Entirely true

I don't blame any of the commentators one bit for question if he was injured or not. You live by the sword and you die by the sword

Even now I'm reticent to comment, want to know how badly injured (if at all) he is

Was a shocking challenge mind, should have been red

We arn't a one man team, we have Valencia and Park to come back and we can adapt to the situation.

Did you see the blood? He was evidently injured and visibly limping when walking. There is crying wolf and then there is being on the receiving end of a potential leg-breaker.

Just because you're previously guilty of what is essentially a minor and very common misdemeanor doesn't mean suddenly commentators have the right to question a shocker.

Happens often enough that people get hurt and don't realise how bad it is until after the fact. Carragher was probably saved by that.

Neither of them can offer the outlet Nani has with his goals and crossing.Plus both are coming back from injury and that always takes time........time which we're running out of
