Brown I think with Gary being out for so long he's gonna have to work his way into the starting 11

I think Wes Brown will probably start the season and it will be up to Neville to displace him in the team. I really like Neville and he's much better at going forward but you have to look at it from Wes Browns point of view. He had an excellent season playing in the team with the best defensive record in the league. You'd be a bit fucking gutted if you were dropped straight away by someone who's just been out for a year wouldn't you!
Over the course of a long season I think they'll both get plenty of games. With those two in your squad it also gives you the choice of moving Brown into the middle in which is probably his best position if Rio or Vidic are out. He was absolutely immense at centre back against Barcelona last season. And it just shows again the strength of our squad to have two players of that quality battling for their place in the team. |

You lot must be havin' a laugh.
Did any of you witness Rafael last night?! ![]() In all seriousness, it will be Brown until Ferguson deems Neville to be deserving of dislodging him. |

I'll stick my neck on the block and say that Gary Neville won't be first choice right back at the club ever again.
