The difference between now and the 90's is that you were expected to have a few bad games in the 90's on the way to the title. Now if you have a few bad games the empire is crumbling. Poor effort, but I did steal the geriatricos line for my FB profile.

i did like the geriaticos line but other than that it was utter rubbish.predicting the end of united is like saying one day there will be no humans on earth or that one day the earth itself will end it will happen but not for a year or two.

It also misses the rather large point that any perceived decline could be attributed to external factors - it wouldn't necessarily be solely the result of SAF's/the Glazers'/our players' failings but, instead, the kind of unique spending sprees which any respectable authority would have regulated.
