Peter Davenport

Right....

I got that Fergie's 2000 goals dvd for my brirthday, and one thing I noticed was that Peter Davenport couldn't half finish. I was only about 8-9 when he was at the club, so remember bugger all about him. Was he shit???

Cloughie's men were renowned for being crap after leaving him. We certainly helped to prove this.

More cult hero or something like that
On a par with Forlan - didn't really deliver but did a bit of scouse-busting.

Yes, anyone who shafts the scousers has a place in our hall of fame somewhere, have to agree with that.

He was shit , I think he fell foul of the strikers graveyard that United used to be ,but I can still see him scoring in front of the Stretford End against Grobbelaar and the dippers ...Ah memories

Bleeding good point, as exceptions go he is fucking huge. I wasn't just meaning sales to United, though, it's something that was often said at the time. Have to admit I'm too lazy to look all Cloughie's sales up, I'm just dredging up a memory really.
