and also it's his job to verify things of that magnitude before printing them to the national media, he was 100% to blame for it and that's why he was correctly sacked.

Of course he was to blame. He was editor of the paper, and ultimately he had to take full responsibility. So he made an error of judgement, what is your point? It doesn't make him 'disgusting', or a cunt, or whatever other insult you want to hurl at him. Do you not make mistakes? Forgive me, I didn't realise I was talking to somebody of infallibility.
