Post Match v Villa away
Errrrrm...
Why is football so fucking awesome and so horrible at the same time. Where did five minutes come from? Where did Valencia turn into the most frustrating person ever. Why is supporting United so damned good constantly. Chicarito thankyou very very much. United. Top of the league

The whole thing is retarded. We repeatedly play Young despite him offering next to nothing. We constantly line up so to rely on our out of form wingers, despite having a huge problem in our midfield. We drop our two most in form midfielders and play two that are only ever going to leave huge gaps between midfield and attack. We concede first time game after game, a lot of the time even twice.
Despite this....we're top of the league! Fantastic from Hernandez today, what an absolute legend.

It's amazing really. The moment you start to contemplate dropped points, hope springs from somewhere. Yet again we snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
Aston Villa must be sick of the sight of us. |

Brilliant after Hernandez came on and we changed our shape, absolute dire before that happened. We should never field that 2man midfield with 2 out and out wingers again.
Its been so great watching United this season from an emotional point of view Rollercoasters almost every game. I love this club

yup, losing 2-1 and then subbing is the way to the treble.
![]() Frustrating team selection as always and if not for some luck with the first two goals we would have lost today. Can we please start with a decent formation for the rest of the season? |

Take the 3 points and run! It was a one man show today and that man only played 45 minutes of football yet gave us 3 goals.
Clearly the Carrick/Scholes combination is fecking terrible defensively. Loved how we were so much more penetrative and energetic when Cleverley (and then Anderson) were thrown on. Hope Rooney isn't hurt too badly..maybe enough to miss the friendly? |

Scholes seems to fade when he goes a few weeks without a game. Couple that with playing in a 2 man midfield and it was never really going to work. Although his pass to the resulting Hernandez goal changed the game.

Javier Hernandez is a reason to go back to the 433 we used when Tevez and Ronaldo were about. Chico, Wazza and Van Persie with the movement and one touch passing of Ando and Clev and a defensive midfielder behind them and the 20th title is ours.

The midfield of Carrick-Scholes wasnt the problem. Got sucker punched after some poor defending from Smalling for the first and well.. the second was rubbish as well...
The front 6 looked lethargic in the first half.. Sparked into life in the second and did much better. |

It's been a funny season. I've said it a few times. We are not a great side. We have couple of world class players, a few who are past their best and a few that are inconstant.
But we have incredible spirit. And this is what is getting us over the line right now. I have no idea if this will come back to haunt us or will we just click. Games like this are not good for me. I go through so many emotions. |

combine that with an off half of turnovers and opposing wingers with pace left us very open and we payed for it. |

Every post I make is the same. It's ridiculous. If we had signatures on the caf I could just make mine "4-4-2 is dead, our wingers are playing shit, start a 4-3-3 with Anderson, Carrick and Cleverley in midfield" and I'd never need to actually write anything in my posts.
Fergie isn't half clueless sometimes. |

Was difficult for United especially after going a goal behind Villa sat with 11 men behind the ball, what a comeback what a sub whoever said we rely on RVP needs to take a look at themselves. On a side note Ashley Young give yourself a shake lad that performance is not acceptable for a United player.

Couldn't agree more. Especially Young. He just seems to trap the ball and pass it sideways or backwards almost every time. The frustrating thing is he is capable of so much more. We've seen him regularly beat a fullback throughout his career and on his day he can whip in some great crosses from the left.
