Preempt Sky Sports and ITV.

You know that this all England Champions League Final is a marketing dream, and we are bound to see some very meaningful and inspirational trailers [well that is what they'll be looking for]. You know, film trailer dude doing his thing, Gladiator battle scene style music, the form is well known.

But in your spare and bored moments try and be creative, draw up their script, how are they going to sell it?

But not like this. >>

Nice. 'All the football all the time'. Reminds me of a great Mitch Hedburg joke:

You can't please all the people all the time and last night all those people were at my show.

why do they use the term "grand-slam" isnt that originally a baseball term or is it just popularly a baseball term?

I think of Rugby or Tennis. Basically just means winning everything in a season (so not appropriate for this really).

The term originated in the game of bridge.

Its their 'Heroes Season' now on Sky so somehow they will find a way to hype the key players up. I forsee some sort of epic battle in similarity to the movie '300'.

Yeah I've always thought that, As a keen rugby fan the term 'Grand Slam' always associates itself with the six-nations tournament - the grand slam is where one team wins all five of their matches.

Hah..the guy really is a genius...And I don't care that I'm going off topic with this thread but some of his lines are just brilliant!!

'I don't have any children but if I had a baby I would have to name it so I'd buy a "baby naming book". Or I would invite somebody over who had a cast on.'

' Whenever I walk, people try to hand me out flyers. And when someone tries to hand me out a flyer, it's kinda like they're saying "Here, you throw this away." '

A guy came over to me and said "you've got to move, you're blocking the fire exit." As if there was a fire, I wouldn't run. If you're flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.

Sorry Nick. We'll try to stop derailing your thread now
