What about Michael Barnes, watched him during a tourno at Malaysia and he seems promising.

He's been released.

Welbeck and Possebon are probably the most likely to make the step up to full time squad members this year.

Im a bit confused about Barnes, As far as i know he was released a few months ago. But I know he played for us again after that. Maybe nobody came in for him so he kept training with us. Anyone confirm what really happened?

I'm optimistic about Welbeck (despite only having seen a couple of hours of him!) - he just seemed to have that edge of something special that might mean he'll make it. Never had that feeling about Eagles or Campbell say(despite his perfomances for Hull).

Possebon, I've not seen him except in clips, but it sounds like he's settled in well so I'm sure we will be seeing him soon.

On an older (21 year old?) note I'm still hoping we'll see Danny Simpson make the jump, but I know other people are more pessimistic than me on that one.

Thats right. I expect players like Evans, Simpson, Eagles to get more chances.
