Rossobianchi
I've not seen it on here yet, but this is a song that's been building up quite a bit of momentum on RI. Just thought I'd post it up here so that anyone going to the game tomorrow can have a better chance at joining in. Seeing OT bouncing up and down to this would be unbelievable, let's try and get it going!
Tune - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gX-HP7...eature=related Manchester (x 8) From the green and gold, to Rossobianchi The boys from Old Trafford, mean everything to me The pride of all Europe, the team above all teams We are United, and so we all sing United (x 8) Fight for Manchester, and the RED ARMY Fight for United, our glorious history Fight for the Red shirts, they fight for you and me Fight for the greatness, of M.U.F.C |

Yeah it could work. Will probably take people a while to get all the words of it though.Also needs to be sung quickly, I could imagine it sounding crap and more suitable for a funeral than a football match if sung wrong.

I occasionaly browse RI and saw that. It'll be brilliant to get this going.
Marcos will be particularly pleased to see this. |

Yeah, it's fair enough it will be pretty difficult. The problem with our atmosphere is that there are a fair amount of people who are up for it (although at times it really doesnt seem so), but feel that they can't get something going because of all the people who aren't up for it sitting around them (Stretty excluded). We need to make the fuckers that don't want to sing the minority, as they rightly should be, which will in turn hopefully make them attempt to join in. Things like this song can only help, plus I've had it in my head for days now and I can't wait for tonight! (despite the fact that first time round it will probably be a horrendous flop.) As someone on RI said, the Manchester, manchester..... bit will be easy enough for the day trippers to join in with, leaving the verses for bare top reds!

It's a tricky one mate I didn't know it before, if you know your Argie football at all then it's a song that River Plate fans sing about Boca called 'sos cagon'. Apart from going 'der der der, der der der, der der der, der der der' the best I can do is say wait til you get home. It's class though, would be amazing to bounce up and down to!

Its not exactly a household tune is it. No doubt it sounds awesome when all of the River fans sing it. (plus it would piss Tevez off if he heard it....) |

What are they singing in the chorus part? Presumably the name of their team but I could'nt make it out. Three syllables is of course ideal - U-nit-ed and Man-ches-ter. No good for Arse or Chelsea, but the dippers might use it to effect. Best we get there first, as I can see the effect on rivals of this kind of relentless chant. Viva Ronaldo does the same, but this new one could be awesome.
Actually, three syllables; what about 'Red-Dev-ils, red-dev-ils? (none of our songs actually uses our nickname come to think of it; would it be OK?) |

OK, I've Google'd it and come up with a post from some S American soccer forum;
And I must say that I totally become addicted to it. it`s great, I like the rhythm and whole “ambiance” Can you give me/us little background about this particular clip and also lyrics of it? Why are you in from of a stadium? Was is out of protest or ..? Thank you
Hello!!! the video is taken from the minutes before the crowd gets into the tribune. the lyrics of this song are, in spanish: Ay che bostero... vos sos ortiva!!! vos sos amigo... de la policía!!! en Mar del Plata... no te plantaste... Con Los Borrachos, como cobraste!!! sos cagón, sos cagón, sos cagón, sos cagón!!! sos cagón, sos cagón, sos cagón, sos cagón!!! in english it's something like this: hey you boca supporter, you're friend of the police in Mar del Plata, you didn't face us and by the Drunkers (river plate suporters), you were hitted you're a coward, you' re a coward, you're a coward, you' re a coward!!! excuse me, my english is really basic, and some of the words of the song doesn't have a translation in english. here you have more videos and pictures: http://www.riverplate.com/es/foto/
uh oh Obviously the 'O' in 'Cagon' is accented, so 'sos cagon' is pronounced 'sos cayay' in the song you hear. Also, as it's a taunt to rival Boca Juniors fans, and means 'you're cowards' maybe we should get something similar going; instead of 'Manchester' or 'United' replacing sos cagon, perhaps some insult to the dippers would be better? Any thoughts caftards? |
