2.35 What a ball from Veron. Shame he didn't fit in with us.
As for Ruud, what more can you say? The best since Law and a machine when he got into the box. It also makes me realise how much we miss a striker that can actually head the ball. |

I loved him, his finishing was out of this world. I lost count of the amount of times he placed the ball so well that the keeper was left rooted. He always knew exactly what type of finish was needed to score. Class act.

When you look at how reliant we were on him during his spell with us it really makes you wonder how we've achieved what we have without him
Also makes you think how nice it would be to have that kind of prolific striker now

A great shame. I hope peace is eventually made, as it was with Beckham and Fergie as it tarnishes his time with us a bit. He was a brilliant footballer. |

Just an amazing striker, one of the best ever. Really miss him.
I guess one of the biggest compliments you can pay the guy is the fact that we still havent replaced him. What i'd give to have a lethal striker in the team right now. Cheers for the memories 'RUUUUUUD'. |

That video is a dummies guide of how to score goals.
Its a masterful display of excellent finishing from a truly great striker. We do sometimes miss the ruthless ability he had inside the box to score goals from any half chance. This club is forever in his debt. RVN10.

That's a masterpiece of a video and a genius in the penalty box where finishing is concerned.
Sadly, his attitude and fall out in 2006 has tainted things slightly as I feel at one stage he was holding back our all round play, because watching that back made the memories flood back in for what an unbelievable player he was for us. He really was a different gear when the ball dropped in the area. His pace is also deceptive too, not just his reaction time but I think people forget he was a pacy runner. |

Legend - outstanding, clinical, powerful, breathtaking.....my cock is hard.... he was so good it was stupid, he is in my top 5 favorite united players of all time.
Its a bit sad really how things came to an end. But what a striker he was, thats the first compilation ive watch of him since he left, i was a bit confused about it all and obviously blanked it all out at the time. In his prime he was head and shoulders above any other striker in the premiership and the world right now. Fuck, i loved him so much, and he loved it at united, just look how he celebrated, he also had that moment of genius in him which people may forget. What a player, he carried us as a team at times and always rose to the challenge of being our talisman, how we could do with a striker like that now. LEGEND RVN10 |

Had to have finished a higher percentage of chances and half-chances than anyone else out there. So consistent when he got the ball in the box. Doubt we'll see that level of finishing again for a while.
On form he was the best striker in the world in 2003. |

If Darren Ferguson had his way, Ruud would have joined United in 1998.
Van Nistelrooy in melting pot - Telegraph Ferguson has long been alerted to van Nistelrooy but "the real awareness of him" came in 1998 when Ferguson's son, Darren, was undergoing a trial at Heerenveen, where van Nistelrooy was already seizing headlines. "Darren came back and said: `You've got to sign van Nistelrooy right away, he's fantastic.' I said: `We've been watching him.' Darren said: `Well, sign him.' On the next Saturday, we sent people to the game and PSV were there and signed him the next day." |
