He couldn't do anything about the 2 goals yesterday and he didn't take out Heinze, he went down and got the ball, which is actually very good goalkeeping, Kaka pushed Heinze who jumped over to avoid a collision. And he was our best player vs Boro, and without him the point difference with Chelsea could be 2 points not 3.

He has quite clearly had an outstanding season, remember he kept us in the game at Anfield, with that unbelievable save vs Crouch. I have full confidence in him, despite his recent errors.

While there are some exaggerations and silliness in this post, there is some truth also. If we had someone like Petr Cech in goal we'd be at least 8 points clear of Chelsea, and quite possibly up 2 goals in front of Milan right now. The first goal by Kaka was stoppable, though it would have taken a good save.

I wonder if age and knocks are catching up to VDS. It seems that his form has dropped this past month. A weakened back four may contribute to it, but now is when we need him to be virtually error-free.

Not the right part of the season to be burnt up or fucking up, A LOT. As for you mutts calling me an idiot and the such, debate the issue and do not deflect it or you have nothing to say. VDS is an issue and his keeping is suffering. Defend him all you like. His record in the last 4 showings is poor.

His judgement of depth has been poor, his positioning is questionable at times. He makes some great saves and then lets in a dribble like today. I do not trust him between the poles and yes would rather go back to the spirit of 99 which I hear you lot laud on about comparing this season to though they have nothing in common. If my first string is not working or injured I will reach to my subs, we have been forced to do it and seen JOS and Fletch shine. Why so hesitant about Kuzz? I can't spell his name so will not embarrass myself trying to type it. VDS is shot. He is fucking up. Can you not see that? Are you so Red blind you cannot see he is pretty dodgey? He is overrated at this point in the season and looks arthritic rather than lithe in responding to strikes. Now if you cannot see that who is the muppet. Getting behind the club is one thing and talking shite another. Fucking replace him he is spent. As for all the offside comments, who cares...the thread is about VDS and that is all I am discussing. Who cares if you do not like it. It is a concern.

What a spastic!

Funny how things change around in football, one day you are responsible for the loss and everything was your fault, the next day you become f*cking legend, Amazing how people jump to conclusion without looking past or present.

Same thing happened with Giggs, with people calling to axe him off from first team. The same man sealed the 17th title and scored in Cl final.

Yes, VDS has done well and is a legend. But keepers do have a sell-by date. I remember that in the '99 season, the Great Dane had a catastrophic number of howlers early in the season only to go on to be part of the mighty treble winning team after being sent on a mandatory 2 week holiday by Fergie. VDS had quite a few dodgy games in 2007, including identical fisting of the ball into dangerous areas inside the penalty box. Did get me wondering ... But never mind, he has since done a marvelous job.

Coming off the bench in both occasions which is what people who wanted him axed from the first team had been saying we needed to do all season.

You stole my point, you point stealing sun of a gun! VDS has one full season left in him and maybe 1 after that with hopefully Foster ready to take over his mantle. Also he has to be given the GK coach job.

He's played close to sixty games this season, he's not a spring chicken no more at the age of 36/37 now is he>?< The season is going to have some serous effects on him man, he'll be collecting his pension before long with a giro slip. lol.

Then next his age, reflexes and stuff not as they used to be/ bollox excuse. edwin wasn't shite y'day., kaka's first goal was sheer class... he noticed edwin took a split half second longer to position himself and kaka tapped it in while he was doing so...

I feel he just needs a good rest which he can't get at this important part of the season. He IS the best keeper since The Great Dane.

To those who think he's had it, would you rather have Thomaz in goal than him in the CL final? *dum dum dum dummm*
An Uzi post not fully in txt speech. A rare sight.
