Sign the online petition to get a collar for our kit

We are getting some form of new kit next year although I'm not sure if its just a new champions league one or a new home one. I, like thousands of you, really want it to have a collar because it looks cooler and its warm etc. Every time we talk about kits this is always the dominant opinion - WE WANT THE CANTONA COLLAR BACK AT OLD TRAFFORD!

I've just started an online petition on the leading petition website. Please sign it here http://www.gopetition.com/online/19210.html
It takes 5 seconds and can by done anonymously. Please post this link on other forums as well.

I know that the development of the kits is well underway, but if we get a few thousand signatories then the Sports Marketing Manager at Nike UK who develops the kit will notice it, either now or later. They do, I happen to know, do quite a lot of public opinion gauging anyway so they are clearly interested in what us fans think.

Let me know what you think (because I am interested and so that this reminder stays on the board!)

I like shirts best un-collared. Collars are unnecessary.

no collar. this is the best looking jersey they've ever had. no white trim, no collar, nothing to trick it up.

Not a fan of collars on footy shirts. Look at the new Chelsea one. Terrible!

I don't like collars either, glad our shirt don't have them. Btw, Nike don't really design shirts with collars in general, do they?

Yes they definitely do. I've got the contact details of the person at Nike who overseas the first rough design and also of the person at united who then alters it.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO SIGN THIS PETITION, IT WILL LET THEM KNOW WHAT WE THINK!!

Don't worry mate, Fergie's already sorted that one by knocking that piece of sh*t story on the head yesterday. Loved the laugh he let out when asked it by that numpty on Sky.

It might be time for a collar again on the shirt, but Nike look to have run out of ideas if their new kits are anything to go by. Maybe they'll be grateful for the inspiration!

So, so true.

And what's with Adidas being lazy, dishin out the same shirts to Chelsea and Liverpool year after year, just a different colour?

I prefer no collars tbh, plus its up to nike really. The collared kits are more Adidas or Umbro if you ask me

ya someone said we are keeping that one for one more year - think a new champs league kit or away shirt is on the way though.

The petition (sign it here http://www.gopetition.com/online/19210.html) doesnt ask for the re-use of that kit, it asks for collars!!! Which would be sweet!

I'd absolutely love a collar. There's no reason why Nike couldn't give us one - the Barca away kit has one, and so does the Fulham home kit.

I really like the Fulham kit actually, it's a classic kit without stupid frills or patterns. I'd love to see us get a similar kit in red in a couple of years.

I agree. To some extent, our home kit is like it now, nothing but the sponsers and the badge (although there is the stripe down the back, but i love that).

I think the main problem I have with our kit is the material, it just feels so cheap.

Collars were alright when king Eric was about but now i think they are better left alone.

Our shirts over the last few years have been sweet with no collars

Chelsea have a collar on their new shirt and i think it looks wank, it looks like a rugby style shirt from the seventies, minging IMO

I don't like collars all that much. They should be left with the legend that is the king.
