Best one I ever heard from Fergie was the first ever Premier League match between us and Sheffield United away at Bramall Lane in August 1992 when we got beat 2-1. Fergie got up right next tot he touchline and shouted 'Denis, play good football' over to Irwin and was picked up clearly by the microphones. Brilliantly simple, concise and to the point.

Class, every one of them.

Kind of makes you miss the good ol' days of the Fergie-Arsene rivalry. It seems to have cooled down now........ they can barely spot our tail lights anymore.

I can't remember the exact game, but it was in the 2002-2003 season when we were starting to reel Arsenal in. SAF gets the squad together, and shows a video of Wenger's face just after the Arse have been beaten by someone:

"That is what a loser looks like. If you want to play for a bunch of losers
then you can all f*** off to Highbury"

We went on to win the title.

Yep. We should replace Sir Alex with a clone of himself, and that clone with yet another clone, ad infinitum. We could win 5000 league titles or summat that way.

I like number 9 for obvious reasons. You can imagine the effect that his half time speech during the 1999 European Cup final would have had on the players. Number 19 is an incredible compliment for Beckham. I might share this quote with the children at school to encourage them to always give their best effort and to show that the anything can be achieved with enough practise and dedication, regardless of natural talent.

he is witty, authoritative and a wizard with words , i rarely miss his weekly press conference and the guy is absolute class to watch and listen to . he handles those journalists as if they were United players, he can have them laughing when he wants to and yet he can have them fear for their life with a mere change of tone and facial expression .
sheer quality !
